Anyone who sees this movie Hidden Figures gets a lot smarter, thank you
R. I. P brightbills real family. :'( (anyways, ROZ is a pretty good mother ngl.)
Jim Parsons was a a hole in this movie.
Why weren't her accomplishments acknowledged right after she help Glenn orbit the moon? Why did it take 53 years to acknowledge what this woman did? The truth shall come to the light! No matter how hard or how long anyone tries to withhold something, God will reveal it!
It took a women to figure out a man job ! Jim was playing Sheldon ! Making sure he gets the credit
Sheldons character was always kinda a prick. So this part he's playing in this movie make sense. He plays a good jerk !😡
I want to see that movie please can anyone share iy❤❤❤❤
I want to see the movie complet
Woman was instrumental in the USA's crowning achievement of mankind and only got credit for it nine years ago. God sometimes I hate us.
Katherine Johnson was extensively recognized and awarded long before the movie came out. Don't mistake Hollywood's suddenly waking up to her story, for being given credit at all. Still, the _increased_ awareness of her accomplishments brought on by the movie, is well-deserved.
Math is so refreshing when you know it 😅😅😅😅😅
When the space craft splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean, I was watching it on my black and white TV. I saw the Navy Aircraft Carrier send out the helicopter to pick up the space craft. At the time, I questioned myself how did the Navy know where to be at that time? I finally got my answer. Thank you Mrs. Kathern Gobble.
The US governement is cheating the people for a long, long, long time made them to belive they are the most lovly country in the world!
But they left out the reason that they got the space it's because of the former Nazi Germany
No, there is no _THE_ reason, friend, but a combination of many factors. The German scientists certainly played a significant part in the US space program, but their contributions were not all-determinant.
Why the F them write the white g*y name on the report..
Sad, but as usual wasps have always taken credit for everything.
You're mis-using the term "WASP", friend.
Was that 53 years later, wankers 😂
Tell me again. those on the right, how things were better back then. This clearly shows otherwise. And even today, we have a renewed effort by the right to eliminate DEI teachings and training. Believe me, your day of recogning is coming.
_"...your day of recogning is coming."_ "Reckoning", friend.
Obama .what an endorsment that is.to her genius.
Jim Parson plays the same character that he did in big bang theory but without the canned laughter. Annoying, spiteful and disrespectful. Obviously he’s been tested and there’s nothing wrong with him 😂 history will not look kindly at his character.
I knew a number of math teachers in my youth. Keven Costner’s look was spot on for all of them. Crew cut, the style of glasses, the skinny black ties, white shirt and suit coat that as author Jean Shepard said, it looked as if it was made of wet and dry sandpaper. The visual effects were also spot on. It looked as if they stepped out of 1962.
Obama gave KG the Presidential Medal of Freedom - Trump gave it to a racist!!
I know it’s an important movie but I was hoping Jim acted like Sheldon for a short period of time. Lol
So who here remembers typing with the little ball? I sure do. Little bastard was about one-half second behind my fingers so that took some getting used to.
I'm old enough to remember typing before the little ball appeared. Long, pivoted arms, with one character each, manually actuated. It had a rhythm that was lost once the ball came on the scene.
There was a lot of times throughout history when women did the work and man got the credit. In WW11, Hoover to the credit for a woman decoder, we won some of the battles because of her work and Hoover walked away with all the credit.
This is the best and funny and how did the name brighbill
53 years later. Damn shame
I don't know why white people think they are so superior. And I am white
My grandfather is also a Paul Stafford…..although I know Jim Parson’s role did not depict a real person, it is still hard for me to watch at times, because this was nothing like the Paul Stafford I knew.
_"...this was nothing like the Paul Stafford I knew."_ That's unsurprising. Hollywood can never trust the appeal of a real-life account, and just tell the story. It always has to screw around with it, because screenwriters think they can improve upon actual history. The way I see it, if a piece of history is worth telling at all--and Katherine Johnson's story certainly is--then it doesn't need manipulating.
Why did you fade out Katherine Gobles face?
And we have a group now that want to turn back the clock and put people not like them back to that time & worse ! 😡
Omg wait until chit chat talks
Ive been calling them the Green Bay Fudge Packers for years🤣🤣🤣
Sheldon before he was Sheldon.
If anyone is wondering, the goose named "Brightbill" is from the book "The Wild Robot" by Peter Brown. This video mentions Roz, the robot. Brightbill well, was named after his bright bill.
It is infuriating that I was NEVER taught in school all the amazing contributions women made throughout the ages. I take it back, there were three: Madame Curie, Florence Nightingale, and Pochantis. It is an outrage.
There are historians who believe that Marie Curie did much of the work for which Pierre Curie was recognized. I don't know whether or not it's true, but it wouldn't surprise me.
Remember you have a whole political party controlling many states that won’t teach real history as they white-wash it and revise history. They say Civil was wasn’t about slavery, US has never been racist and promote a sex offender for president
Thank you President. They better be changing the damn history books to damn it. I HATE racism.
The real Katherine said she was treated like everyone else at NASA, the racist part was fiction.
Thank you

Thee Egyptians were of color and nobody can figure out what they did 😮
It saddens me that people not getting the recognition for their achievements...this country needs to be better.
Siempre tendrás un compañer@ de 💩, qué se querrá llevar los méritos del trabajo de otr@
The wonderful example these women set, is by peaceful means, to win over their opponents and detractors, by way of sheer, overwhelming ability. This is similar to the example set by Mahatma Ghandi and his followers, who defeated the British Empire by peaceful means. The ultimate objective should be for all of us to co-exist in peace, on this overcrowded planet.
I am trying to figure out what the red letters stand for ?
Sheldon ruined this movie for me.. he is just super rude in a rude way.. it’s annoying. Doesn’t fit the movie actually
The world should be ashamed for trying to keep her from history.. smh
Katherine Johnson was extensively recognized and awarded during her career, long before the movie came out. Don't mistake Hollywood's suddenly waking up to her story, for being given credit at all. Still, the increased awareness of her accomplishments brought on by the movie, is well-deserved.
No diss against Katherine Goble or the others at NASA who made it happen, but I love how the US has to try and make themselves look like the greatest at all times rather than conceding they were behind for most of the space race. Yes, John Glenn was the first one to orbit the earth 3 times, in fact he was the first American to orbit earth, thought only the third American in space. It sounds impressive until you remember that Yuri Gagarin orbited the earth once in the first manned space flight. He just didn’t see the need to do it too more times. You look back at the history of space flight, most of the major milestones apart from putting a man on the moon were done first by the USSR.
Absolutely love this movie
I watched this movie with my two daughters. they were inspired by Katherine Johnson and choose STEM careers. As a mechanical engineer I cant imagine she did all that math in her head that made space flight possible. thanks for making this movie to show, genius has no gender, color, creed boundaries.
