I was told by my late grandmother that her relative helped saved around 75 people. She said he was born on the 5th of November. Coincidentally his name was also Geoge william beauchamp.

Yes i remember him in many documentaries. He also died in the 1st world war. So did not live long after he escaped disaster. Such a sad story.

I think this is one of the fellows who caught a lot of flack for surviving the sinking. He was one of those legendary Titanic survivors known as "the Man who got off dressed as a Woman"!

I visit the fountain from time to time. On April 15, 2012, I found another Titanic buff had left yellow daffodils and the two men's biographies on it.

That person seems to have a newer picture than 1912. So sorry she was saved and then to die 4 years later. Thanks for story. I never have heard of her.

I like the way you stated "they joined forces in 1862".... never heard marriage said quite that way before! And several children later....it sounds like they did quite a bit of "joining" there after! lol

This is one of my relatives. I’m 39 and when I was younger my great great cousin that was born in 1906 used to tell me stories of the family. She lived till 98 she was his niece I believe I’d have to look up the family tree my father has with all the names in it
