The Best Daily Vocal Workout! (No Talking)
Get ready to strengthen your voice with the best daily vocal workout! This routine will help you sing with power and agility- with no unnessesary introductions.
Perfect for singers looking to improve their vocal warmup routine!
This daily vocal workout is designed to strengthen your voice and improve your singing technique.
Remember, your voice is a muscle, and consistent practice is key!
Listen to each exercise once, then jump in!
Sing along until the exercise is out of your range, then move on to the next.
Gug Exercise
Focus on resonance with this exercise. The "G" sound helps lower your larynx, while the "uh" encourages more space in your throat for resonance. Relax your jaw and tongue to create the most space and maximize your vocal quality.
Vowel Bending Exercise
Perfect for working on vocal placement and flexibility. Transition smoothly between high and low notes by bending from an "ah" vowel (like in ball) to a wider "ahh" (like in bat) as you move up and down a 5-note scale.
Nah Mixed Exercise
This sound helps open your sinuses, crucial for developing a balanced mixed tone. As you sing, imagine exhaling through your nose to fully engage your resonance chambers.
Tongue Stretch
Your tongue plays a huge role in vocal tension! Sing with your tongue out to reduce unnecessary movement. If it’s hard to keep still, use a paper towel to hold your tongue while singing until you build more relaxation habits.
Agility & Airflow Exercise
Improve your breath control with this longer vocal run. Focus on maintaining consistent airflow throughout, ensuring smooth transitions between notes.
Do this routine daily to build strength and agility in your voice! No need to overthink-just follow along and sing.

Click bait fooled me again 😅
I'm a baritone and every time I try to sing like this the only thing that comes out is metal screams 😂😂😂, I mean I know how to do all kinds of metal screams but this in specific I can't😅
Great method of explaining this and excellent breathing tips. I had always done that breathing exercise throughout my career, but to a 16 count and as I was walking. 4 is a little quick for my HUGE lungs, but the principle of shorter breaths is very helpful. I used to hang my head upside down for a few seconds on stage to relax those muscles and get some blood flow going, but that was usually after-the-fact damage control until I realized it was also good pro for a long slide from the bottom of my voice to the very top, which was a show opener for a while. But the most INVALUABLE thing I learned that, would have likely kept me a singer throughout my life instead of giving it up professionally at 21 is sinus rinsing. The resonance that comes after a few weeks of regular rinsing and the opening of the cavities of the face and forehead double the volume with half the air. I never hear singers talk about it, but it keeps you healthy on the road (the fear of catching a cold on a plane can really mess with you), and keeps the whole vocal apparatus cleaner and clearer. And they only cost $10!!! If only of had known then!!! I’m just getting the courage to start retaining my singing voice after years of back problems preventing me from singing, but hearing what Juliet Simms did with her voice when she became Lilith Czar really inspired me. When someone takes the last note of tough song up a fifth from the recorded version with ease due to a little support from the bottom and tummy and is having fun with her voice - not straining - I’m inspired.
Kurt! Thanks man this great I’ve managed to get the distortion on my notes in my chest voice but when I go into mixed and bring in some head resonance I lose the distorted textured and it goes back to clean , how do I get that in mix? Is it possible to explain or make a video! Greatly appreciated:)
Thank you for great content ! as a beginner i have no idea that by lowering your tonque you can completly change a sound :D
Can you add turkish subtitle? ❤
so BEAUTIFUL EYES
I loved to discover this channel!!! Thanks ❤ I just subscribed
Ma'am u r such a good teacher as well as such a beautiful ❤ girls 🙏
The whole video I thought it was too complicated to understand and that I wouldn’t be able to apply the info. Then, I started practicing and noticed that I literally feel myself making sound from my throat 😮😮. Then I put emphasis on my belly. I just got it🎉
Yes!!
Doesn't work for me 👎
I'm thinking there is no video to help me, my singing voice is my speaking voice, there isn't one video that addresses this in a helpful way, I finally just gave up ,
Hey! What you’re talking about is resonance. You probably are only resonating in your mouth/chest and not in the mask/open sinuses. Try this video! th-cam.com/video/u8e_v2zCOcQ/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@@KClayMusic I'll try and let you know, if that's not it, then what? Pretty sure I've tried it already
@@KClayMusic no answers to be found in that video , I tried that for so long with no change, some people just can't do it. I'm told singing comes from a different part of the brain than speaking. Nice try though 👎
@@KClayMusic I'd just like to sing one time without someone asking me to stop
@@KClayMusic singing comes from a different part of the brain than speaking, that's the reason why ppl like Mel tillis speak with a bad stutter but can sing flawlessly and never stutter. I've never seen a video addressing that. Some ppl like me just can't do it
Thank you, but for how long a day should I do these exercises?
Hey, once a day will add up FAST!
What does less volume mean? English is not my first language
Less volume means quieter! Or, less loud.
@@KClayMusic ohh ok thankss 💜
This was the best breakdown ever. All of a sudden I got it and I’ve seen many videos! You explained it so well.
Wow thankyou so much!! I really appreciate that :)
Throat coat tea is great!
So many people love this! I need to try..
That's crazy, so opposite of what u would think! But it actually works
Right!!
Nice🙏
Thanks!

Nice!!
Is this mixed tone the same as mixed voice??
Yes :) just a different name. It’s called mixed tone becuase we experience resonance in the chest and in the head
Is that an Aston spirit condenser you have there?
Yes! I love it
Best video I’ve found yet!!!! Thank you!!!! Singing is the most fun!
So glad to help!!
Hi, do you give one on one lessons?
I do! Check them out here calendly.com/kclaymusic
@@KClayMusicim definitely taking lessons from you after i get back from my trip! I so desperately want to sound good in chest n head voice and learn to sing in mixed voice and vibrato which i dont have 🫤 Looking forward to the lessons 🤩
I've got a student who automatically starts singing from the throat when in the chest voice. A gave her most of these tips, especially engaging her core, assuming a yawn-like position, unlocking her jaw, etc. But she still struggles and is therefore afraid to bring more chest into her singing. How can I help her?
Try telling her to sing “on the wind” or to sing on her breath. Your breath should carry your voice out! Also, try loosening the lips and the jaw
I can do them all...

Yeah still not working, I swear I didn't use to do this, but lately, when I sing, my throat just starts hurting like muscle ache. I know I'm doing something wrong but idk how to fix it. There's no sound like you don't hear my voice straining so maybe it isn't this. Got any advice?
