I never thought about this! I could use random tables to assign it and other spells qualities, weather in D&D or not. It also makes me think of other things...

You look like you used to be a Woman. Just get knowledge species skills and roll one to to see your Wizard knows where the creatures heart is. Then use mage hand to exert 10lbs of force to crush or move the hart to a different spot in its body. It is not an attack and is not directly doing any dmg it is doing what its supposed to do and the heart stopping is on the creature, not my fault it can't live with its heart pulled next to is liver.

I was playing with my friends, and one of them was next to a goblin he was foghting. He was basically untouchable by the goblin, but when i tried to run over and attack the goblin i rolled low to hit and hit my friend instead, and got high for damage. I did more damage to my friend than amy of the monsters in the entire session that night

I have a rogue thats half dragon and is littered with baubles and jingles. Shes so much fun and despite her near constant existential crisises, loves frogs and learned how to bake bread and cookies for her party. She's obsessed with shiny things and is very much like a dog with those puzzle treat toys🤣🤣 and then there's my bard centaur that wore bells around her hooves. Noisy characters are so fun

I usually put down either, Perception or Investigation, or maybe Arcana or History. Unless it's something REALLY specific. Really, it's part of the storytelling process if the players do (or don't) find something. Generally, you want the players to succeed in order to progress the story. Letting them use the skill that they are proficient increases the chance of that happening. The player feels like they've achieved something for a single choice they made weeks, months, maybe a year ago, which keeps them engaged in their character. No one wants to play a character that isn't able to participate in the game. 😊

I have taken a break from listening to your adventures since the results. I haven't been doing any activities that allow me to listen to something in the background.
