Millenniumforce is one of the cringiest railfans I have ever seen on YT. I quickly put him on the "Don't recommend channel" list. Looks like he's tame compared to others. This is why, even though I'm a railfan, I don't hang out around railroads much. It's such a crapshoot meeting railfans in person. There are too many weirdos in the railfan community for my taste. I have been chewed out by a few railfans who asked me what my favorite railroad was. I told them it was the Illinois Central Gulf. They treated me like I was some kind of kid diddler and gave me a harsh chewing out about how Illinois Central screwed over the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio in the merger. I told them it was the railroad that ran through most of the communities I lived in as a kid moving around Illinois, and that's why it was my favorite. Didn't matter. I liked ICG, and therefore I was a pariah to them. I even had one railfan suddenly bring up the subject of swinging, and I don't mean the kind of swinging you do on a kids playground. I've been ridiculed because I didn't spot the difference between an SD38 and an SD40 from a momentary glance when I had only halfheartedly just gone to a particular site just to decompress and watch a few trains go past but there just happened to be a gregarious foamer hanging out there, too. I've had plenty of other odd encounters with railfans, so I just shy away from the whole bunch. Especially after befriending a few foamers with various personality quirks who made me want to fake my own death just to get away from them. A few are just one step removed from the kid in _A Christmas Story_ who kept saying "I like Santa!" I just don't care to be around quirky foamers any more or to even watch their videos. I don't need train videos interrupted by someone getting a boner because a train has a DPU in the middle, and they have to exclaim "DPU all right!" Or people whooping and hollering like they just won a lottery jackpot because a heritage unit appears. I prefer the laid back style of railfan video. And I get a kick out of anyone calling out the weirdos in the railfan community who make all railfans look bad.

For $16 yes it's a POS but, it worked and it would be ok to put around the base of the christmas tree. TBH, my (poor) parents did their best at Christmas and as a kid of 6 or 7 I'd be thrilled to death with this. This equates to $2 when I was a kid.

Someone in my railroad club bought a dcc sound equipped steam loco for ten bucks. It worked fine and was not missing parts. They also got a passengercar for free with full interior!😮

I don’t really care what builder built a locomotive, I’m there to watch a train; not discover the gender identity of a locomotive. I make a point to stay as far away as possible from tracks, however there is one local location where the only place to safely park is roughly 20-25 feet from the main line. I do attempt to park as far away as possible w/out ending up in the ditch.
