    Can radiant floors be installed in this type of slab? How do you insulate it with 2" polystyrene. Thank you in advance!

    Hmm the chlorine doesn't stop the smell. That's to clean the water. The smell is from the lack of air or/and aerobic break down

    Question, my aerobic tank has its air in the first tank. Is this nornal? Im about to install a mew aerobic system on the new house im building. This is perfect as space is limited. Do you recommend plastic tanks? My concerns are weight since we will be doing this ourselves.

    Should I hear a constant humming coming from the second chamber?

    • @autum7798
      @autum7798 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Humming as in your aerator is humming? If it's the center chamber, that is your Motor Housing Chamber which houses your aerator motor. If it is out of the ordinary and it is disruptive, I would give your residential service provider a call and ask them to come take a look at it. If you don't have routine service on it with a company already, you can call your county health department and they can give you a list of service providers in your area that might be able to schedule a one-time service call in order for you to get it checked out.

    I like the idea of not having a drainfield. I have a property in very sandy central florida that is 80x150' deep. The front of the property (about 30' in) was left raw and native Florida Pines, Saw Palmettos and scrub oaks. I like the front unmaintained, wild and green. I installed a narrow gravel driveway in through one side and behind that front and dug out a deep 8x10x6' deep hole to elevate that driveway. My hope was to drop in a Aerobic skeptic into that hole. I have no flooding issues, but my water table is likely very high. Would a system like this work with sprinklers to the front?

    I love your videos, I never ask you a question, but today I have a question and I hope you can help me, the post tension runs on the porch of a house because I saw some nails outside my house in the foundation in the corner of my house where the porch is, and a person went to do a sidewalk to my house, and I had to go to work and noticed the next day that they had cut a line from the foundation of my house on the porch side so that the water does not The porch got in, it was about half an inch, that's why I was asking you if the post tension runs on the porch? The person who cut says they don't go there, thank you very much.

    • @meetjeffkelly
      @meetjeffkelly ปีที่แล้ว

      It's possible but probably not. The porch was probably poured later as "flat work". Those nails are probably left from when the form boards were there.

    I'm older and times have gotten tough so I rented out one of my rooms on Airbnb. A neighbor reported me to Airbnb. They said I can't do business out of my home because of the people it would bring into the community. They can't even have a gate that is locked because a city road runs through the community. I can't stand it.

    There should be more chambers usually 5-6 chambers, some design has it 7. The last or 2nd to the last chamber is where the chlorine is applied before it goes out of the chamber for use as water for irrigation. The 3rd up to the last chamber are aerated using a small air pump. Very sustainable, good for the environment, and saves you some $$$$$.

    • @vto7711
      @vto7711 ปีที่แล้ว

      What system are you talking about that has 5-7 chambers? Even if you count the clarifier as it’s own chamber (it’s not) that’s only 4. Please name the brand specifically you are talking about that has 7 chambers. 🤷🏽

    Thanks for posting. Most of the post tension cables are sitting directly on what will be the bottom of the floor. Don’t these cables need to be elevated so they’re in the middle of the concrete floor?

    • @uclaalum88
      @uclaalum88 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes … looks like the conc crew just hadn’t put the chairs under the cables yet. Those are typically done last as it makes it’s harder to move around.

  • @dallaswarren4920

    Chlorine doesn’t do anything for smell! It keeps algae growth down in the pump tank and the water that will occasionally pool around the heads the Aerator does all that work not chlorine!

  • @solarroofing8072
    @solarroofing8072 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wonder why conventional gravity systems are used more than these aerobic ones? I guess the pump and aerator fail eventually and people want to have a zero maintenance system. Sure seems easier to install vs digging up 300 to 400 feet of leach lines!

    For someone new and learning about structural engineering and foundation setup, Would plumbing toilet drainline ever be directly over ontop of beam location? Also what is the thickness of the beams, sizes side to side? Video mentioned the beam is about 2 feet deep but did not say how wide. What is the typical thickness of a slab foundation? Could a slab foundation be thicker more then 6" to 8" depth? Perhaps 10" deep? Any structural engineering that can answer more questions for me?

    I have done over 13,000 apartments, the majority being post-tension, and the cables are not supposed to lay on the ground. They are to be on chairs so that they are encapsulated in concrete. Also, the poly should go down in the beams. Where the poly is torn, it should be patched. Also, the comment on where the concrete comes to on the dead-end is wrong. It is supposed to be completely encapsulated. I am not sure, but it appears that some of the reinforcement in the beams is not correct,

    • @lachlanitis2311
      @lachlanitis2311 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of these videos on YT are showing Concreting not done correctly. All rio should be sitting on chairs not just the cables. And this guy has no idea, the majority of the trenches in the middle are to hold the slab together in reactive soil. Some would be for load bearing walls but all the non load bearing walls are fine to sit on 100mm concrete.
