Don’t let the hard days win
มุมมอง 148 หลายเดือนก่อน
I’m still just trying to get a good footing with videos, but I’m definitely starting to learn what I do well and what I do not do well. Points today: Acknowledge the suck, embrace it Don’t wallow. Move forward. Remember consistency. Choose perception. Do the work.
Doing easy things!

My number 2 necessity for winter riding! I swear this isn’t an ad 🤣
Polar Roll 2024: Adapt!

What do you do when everything goes sideways? You adapt, and you focus on the process. This is my race report on the Polar Roll Mass Start 30 in 2024.
Why Winter?

Thoughts about perception, and how to start to choose better gear when we start to change our perception about ‘crappy’ weather.
Progress report

Just an update on progress, as well as a bit of gear talk. I gotta stop saying what time of day it is when I record lol.

Do the next thing

Holy wind! Don’t worry, I’ll figure this thing out yet. Sorry about the painful noises. Thoughts on riding at night, the cliched snowball, and breaking goals down into lil Bits.
Great work Adam, way too difficult for me, but happy for you and your adventures!
best shammy cream ever..
Indeed it is!
Great recap of your ride Adam! Enjoyed listening to the story.
Adam does hard things so the rest of us don’t have to. Good description of a very difficult ride Adam! Proud of your ability to stay focused on a really tough goal. Won’t be shocked to hear that you finish this next time.
LOL. Thanks for your kinds words. It'll be a minute until I'm back, but I will finish this thing.
Great story! Way to persevere and go get it!
Thanks Todd!
what tires were ya running? Any gear ragrets?
I ran the Teravail Coronado 2.8s. I love those tires, they are good pretty much everywhere. Maybe I'll do a gear setup video, I had no regrets with my setup. Except for not writing down the milemarkers on my top tube.
@@adamnkoenig Hear you on the milemarkers. I definitely will learn from your experience when I shoot my shot at the route. It's easy to overanalyze gear selection, but it makes work go by a little quicker :-)
Pro tip from another eyeglass wearer; get daily wear contacts for just these occasions. Also, the safety strap that comes with all new Garmin head units is a pretty good idea…. 😉
Thanks! I do normally wear contacts, but tend to lose them from wind on these cold rides. And I used to have a tether for the Garmin, but it broke off and I hadn't replaced it. 😕
Adam gets it! 😂😂😂. Thx man. Glad they work for ya! Solid! THANK YOU.
You bet! I had some fun with it 🙂
This is good. More please.
Thank you sir, I shall oblige.
I found this extremely frightening.
The spider was pretty scary.
Well done Adam. Way to START!!! 💪💪
Thanks!
Good vibes. Lemme see them kiddos stomping around! Good idea for 20 on the track. Does the turning effect your number? I dunno. Curious
Interesting thought, I think the wind does, but considering my number was right where I thought it would be, I don’t think it’s significant. Power is power after all.
Paul and I will support for Crusher. Gesick, on the other hand, I can't. I plan to take the place of Marc (also doing the Out and Back) on the Suffer Crew. Paul may be able to help you, somewhat at Gesick.
