Which position did you finish? There was no catching the guy at the front hey!

I finished second. I was hoping we could make a forcing to catch up to him immediately, but not so many seemed willing to participate

Yes he was clever and went on the back of another attack. I’d gone into the read trying to bring that back so there wasn’t much I could do! Shame

I didn't expect to get dispatched quite so early on - but I was literally full gas for the first 3 minutes and I didn't want to burn all my matches before the climb. I think I will go back to Cat D for a bit now

@@NiftyFiftyZwifty It was full on until the viaduct, when some attacks went from the front group, only for them to be caught on the downhill. The pace eased off until the last 5k - three went off the front on their own. I saw the bunch sprint happening but was a non-participant! The jump between groups is always tough and while being dropped is not much fun, trying to hang in there means that it does get easier over time. Ride on!

Thanks for the feedback mate. I was trying to form a breakaway but nobody would come with me. And I think by pushing at the front it does remove riders off the back - but you are right it came at a cost! 😅

It was a really strong group. I tried to push it a few times to chuck people out the back but they weren’t shifting! Hope to race you again soon 👍🏻
