Sneak peak of my 1998 K3500 crew cab dually with 1994 12 valve Cummins and NV4500. All work done by me and a few friends. Rebuilt engine with ARP head studs, oringed cylinder head, .025 delivery valves, 5x.012 injectors, 3K/4K governor springs, 60# valve springs with chromoly retainers, PDD hotrod lift pump, AFCLive, K27 turbo, 4" turbo back exhaust and more.

What caused these flywheel bolts to loosen??

This is the 2nd time this has happened on this vehicle. A new clutch and resurfaced flywheel were installed ~200 miles ago. Bolts were torqued to spec (22ft/lbs 45* angle) and blue Loctite was used. What on earth would cause this? UPDATE: Lesson learned. ALWAYS use nee flywheel bolts (replaced these with ARP flywheel bolts). I installed the rebuilt kit from Rodney Dickman on the Getrag/Muncie 282 in my 93 Beretta GTZ. The kit itself was inexpensive and replaced the worn out OEM plastic bushings/pins to help reduce slop in the shifter feel. This is the 2nd build I've done for this car since I bought it. The bottom end is from a brand new, GM crate engine. I then put my 086 head and W41 cams on it. This video was taken after the initial 20 minute run. This car is one of only 621 Quad4 powered GTZ models made in 1993.

One of my project cars; a 1991 Camaro Z28. Was originally an automatic, 2.73:1 drum rear brake car. Now has a WC T5 and 3:23 posi disc rear end. Pretty fun to drive for what it is. Still needs a fair amount of work, but I love it. Filmed with a GoPro Hero 3 white edition. Sorry the sound quality is so poor - I'm not quite sure what happened there.

Fully functioning 2011 mirrors on a 2005 truck. I am using the 2008 factory folding switch! Most people just use a DPDT switch with their 2008 mirrors on a pre-08 truck, but you CAN use a factory 08 switch with the 08 mirrors and make it work. 1998 Suzuki RM250. As far as I know, its the _only_ 96-00 RM that has successfully swapped all plastics from the 2001 model. All plastics are 2004 on this one. Subframe is swapped, as well as seat, tank, shrouds... everything. Took a little bit of work, but it was 10000% worth it. Its very seamless, most swear its a MUCH newer bike!     I had a '92 that I rebuilt with W41 cams (worked for a GM Dealer at the time), teamed with a Rocket parts ECM and PROM it was a fun little toy.

    So I am lookin at a 1st gen cummins with a new injection pump and the pump or the engine is out of timing. If I did exactly what was in this video could I find TDC without taking anything off?

      No, you will need the newer subframe as well. I had to make a couple of modifications to the frame to fit it, but it wasn't that bad

      I was able to find it through the governor spring access. It took a while and I had to get creative to fish it out. It wasn't fun.

    Power driven diesel on TH-cam has another way of adjusting valves on the 12 valve. Good luck with your build.

    So.... engine is at TDC. P100 is still in truck. Does that mean the pump is TDC? This is where I sit at the moment. Any guidance?

      The pump is always going to be a bit advanced in relation to engine TDC. When engine is at TDC have you verified if the pump can be pinned using the included pin tool? If the engine is at stock timing (listed on the engine serial plate), the pump should be able to be pinned when engine is at TDC.

      @@jeremiahvotruba2921 I'd say unless you have a degree wheel or some way to measure as you turn from TDC to where the pump pin lines up, you'll not have a good reference to where it is now.

    Help me a lot understanding when I went to ajust my valves after head gasket repair had other people saying after I get pin to slid in the d-tent hole and set valves on #1 and it’s companions is rotate over 360 and put pin back in and do again but it’s not there your right. You would have to spin balancer twice just to get it to see hole in timing gear were pin goes..

      Swap went good. Got it running in my 98 K3500 dually cclb. Sooooo much better than the 454.

      @@oldcroneysgarage9739 MUCH better. I haven't done any MPG figuring yet as I'm still getting things dialed in but based on the fuel gauge alone, I am seeing significantly better mileage.

      Now that I've got about 14,000 miles on the swap now, I've been able to get some good mileage data. At about 65mph, I'm getting about 18mpg. Loaded with our camper (~8k fully loaded) I'm seeing 13.5+. Bear in mind I still have 4.10 gears so there is still more to gain if I regeared. All in all, I'm very happy with the swap. It makes the truck so much more capable and fun to drive.
