The self titled Montrose album (1973) is in my top 10 favorite albums of the seventies. It's so sad Ronnie has passed.

Ronnie was a great interview. If I had a way to go back and change something, I would have loved a couple of more Montrose albums with Hagar fronting. There was something special about both albums they did together.

Saw him live shortly before he passed , had been a fan since the Edgar winter group, as young guitar players we held him as the standard we only hope to get close to. I still play and sing rock candy several times a week.. the greatest guitar hook ever written

I saw MONTROSE open for a few bands in the 70s. In fact, my favorite band of all time is HUMBLE PIE. I saw MONTROSE open for them at COBO HALL in Detroit way back when and I thought that MONtROSE, that night...kicked HUMBLE PIEs asses. They stole the show. Ronnie was definitely one of my guitar teachers when I was a teenager. I still go back to those first 2 albums and learn something new every time, By the way, i am 63 years old now. i was a pimply faced teenager back then.

Ronnie had cancer 😥😢 and I will never forget playing with him 😢 he was my guitar hero my friend was older Dave Mott in Sacramento and I will never forget Dave Mott and Donnie and mom Carol Dave played Montrose s first record all the time and Dave Donnie's and mine thing was motocross ridding then racing it was so sweet of a unreal power of Montrose music and still irember it trueley Was a real ritcharual even in the Pitts before a race we would listen to Ronnie Montrose nothing but Montrose to get pumped for the race and then Bob James came in and still irember song one on wanerbrothers present Montrose we chose two before the race matrearch and black train we we're winning well I did a unreal turn around from being back in the pack to get the hole shot and then 😂 top of pack with Ronnie s music that frickin awesome guitar parts were playing in my head as I became fearless to make moves on the bike I'd dream about but never ever in a million years 😂 as I got into playing music and had to stop ridding playing with a few people who have many friends who have major big shots did never ever get a chance to talk with to jamwith and then play bass with me hero guitar idol to me man Ronnie was my main favorite 😍 so yes it is still a dream come true for me and my friend s music was my reason to be rest peace full my hero and ledgend

When the Cancer came back he should of fought it off like the first time!!!, Less than a year later after this interview he shot himself to death! Listening to what he said in this interview even though the Cancer kept him from playing the Guitar for at least two years, he should of looked back, and listened to his own words of enjoying Life after the 1st. round of Cancer! At the 13:33 mark he said that he couldn't wait to wake up, and Play the Guitar, and do other things in Life etc. Shortly afterwards he took his own life! A Contradiction to how he felt less than a year before his Death! Strange! I had the Privilege to see him Play Live back in the 70's 80's and the 90's. He was a Great Show to Watch!!!! R.I.P. Ronnie! Your are Missed!!!!! I have Cancer as well, and i'm going to Fight it to the End!!!
