I take my ferret Lucky for a 6-8 block walk every single night. Ferrets love their leash walks. Been leash-walking my ferrets for 30 years, as early as 9 weeks old.

Ferrets do well in pairs they are very social creatures. He needs a buddy. I got four ferrets on my own . They're so funny.

I didn't realize bananas were so toxic to ferrets. My last ferret, I fed him banana everyday and he never made it to age 2. I was unaware I was killing him every day. Call me a murderer.

Hiii, I’m American and I really want to move to Japan and live there forever! So many opportunities and fun things to do!! It is a little hard though because I am transgender and gay but everyone finds a way!! My dream is to own a nice apartment with a cat and two ferrets in Tokyo!! ♥️♥️♥️
Hi! I’m glad to hear it!! It doesn’t matter about your sexuality we welcome people who loves Japan😊! But one advice is that it’s pretty hard to own an apartment where allows to have pets in Tokyo. Especially cats😞 Apartment contract is super strict here. Recently I moved to another place (still Tokyo) And it was hard to find. 80〜90% of apartments don’t allow to have pets. Or you have to pay higher. That’s what I did too. And ferrets are not so famous compared to dogs and cats. So I had to tell them what ferret is with details like about the environment. They don’t want to get destroyed walls and facilities. Is not easy but yes, it’s still possible to have cats and ferrets in Tokyo!! Hope your dream will come true!❤️😊😊

What a cutie! Reading the comment about cages jogged my memory. (First off, having a cage is sometimes good for the ferret's own safety. I didn't throw clothes into the washing machine unless I was positive I knew where the ferrets were at. A cage makes that answer simple.) Also, have an evacuation plan for you and your ferret in the event of a natural disaster. I recommend having a travel cage in case you need to evacuate. Edit: Not all veterinarians will perform surgery on ferrets. Please find a surgeon before you need one. Sorry that my comments are heavy, but being prepared is good! The ferret looks very happy with you! Such a joyful beastie! ❤
Thank you for the lots of advice!! As you said yes I keep the cage for his safety especially in Japan we have earthquakes so many times. I have a small travel bag for my ferret but I’m thinking to get another bigger one. Veterinarian is always my first priority of where I live! Thanks again for your kindness.

If Huru's anything like my babies were, get ready to clean up a lot of feces and hunt for stolen items. They also like to bite sometimes so you might want to try a bitter apple spray to discourage him. Don't worry if he looks like he's dead when he's sleeping, they're just cute little weirdos like that. They'll hide and sleep and explore anyplace they can so keep an eye on him. I hope you and Huru have fun together.💝

Ferrets need eighteen hours of sleep and six hours of play a day. They sleep so long in part because of how energetic of little bolts they are darting everywhere while they're awake!
