A Liquid Ring Pump is a type of rotating positive displacement pump commonly used in various industrial applications due to its ability to handle wet gases, vapors, and liquids.

@aerotech84 One more question pls, why did we separate the boundary layer in the first place 2:11 ? my guess is that we don't want to apply dynamic mesh remeshing, layering and smoothing on the boundary layer zone, but only apply the remeshing on the tetrahedral/triangular cells of the fluid zone pls correct me if I am wrong Thanks!

How to get the value of cell height?
ANSYS has a function to scan your domain. You also can see this information when you create the grid mesh or double-check by using the ANSYS ruler.
I am confused, multiple zones created when you separate the boundary layer. what is domain:011, interior-domain:003, interior-domain:010, what are these new domains ?
A computational domain normally has 2 kind of domains: domain (includes all interior, wall, inlet, outlet type; you do not see it on boundary conditions) and interior-domain (only interior type). The fluent will auto name the separated domain. In this case interior-domain:010 is the boundary layer domain, interior-domain:003 is the domain connect interior-domain:010 (boundary layer) with domain (main domain); domain:011 includes interior-domain:003, interior-domain:010 and move-car wall type, you can not see it in boundary condition section.
@@aerotech84 One more question pls, why did we separate the boudary layer in the first place? my guess is that we don't want to apply remeshing and smoothing on the baoundary layer, but only apply the remeshing on the tetrahedral/triangular cells of the fluid zone pls correct me if I am wrong Thanks!
@@mmnyako you are right, remeshing method may reduce the mesh quality, also remeshing only available with triangular mesh in 2D now.

Yeah but how do you make the sliding + dynamic together to work? I understand there is some layering involved, but how did you slide your block so that mesh generates behind it? Also do you think would it move with 6 DOF?
@@qumit165 I set mesh motion for the moving mesh, I used the layering method to create re-meshing front and behind it. I use udf with CG_MOTION, I do not use 6DOF.

Hello, I am studying sliding mesh and moving mesh. Does Ansys Fluent support both of these functionalities under dynamic mesh? Thanks :)
Ansys Fluent supports both sliding mesh and dynamics mesh. They are two different techniques. In this video, I applied both of them to simulate the moving mesh.

Hi, the filename k-%06t can create a file named k-000000 with the time step. What if I want to name it automatically by the models I used in different Fluent Cases file respectively?
Here, the macro is used, and it is active in only 1 Fluent Case, then you can not name it automatically for different Fluent Cases.
