Ocean Stroll: Room 2
This is the easiest room of the level, but it introduces another key mechanic of the level, quick tides that push you in one of 4 directions. They won't be fully utilized until room 3.

Screen The Scroll: Room 2

This is the first longer room of the level where you can really see the effect of the layer 2 scroll gimmick. The hardest part of the room is the very end, where you have to avoid the numbered platforms to keep the layer 2 scrolled down far enough to hit the last fish.
Lava Cave

This is the second level on the right path on the overworld and is the only single section level in the hack. The music is a banger and the platforming is a blast. The crux of the section is timing the layer 2 to line up with the p-switch timer running out towards the top.
1F9: Room 4

The final room before the boss, the main difficulty of this room comes from moving between the bottom half of the screen and the top when one is scrolling and the other is not. Because Mario is essentially on the same layer as the background, it pushes you back and forwards as you try to maneuver. This room is surprisingly difficult, even more so than what it appears to be.
Left Right Land: Room 2

This room is much more challenging than the first. The hardest part of this room for me was the very last setup, as the shells tend to collide with each other very frequently.
1F9: Room 1

The final and most challenging level of the hack. This level is a direct sequel to 1F8 in JUMP. The gimmick of the level is that everything is on a different layer than Mario, except for the background. this leads to the level feeling like it has custom physics, and being incredibly overwhelming. This room is short but very technical. The last 2 jumps are both frame perfect, but I mitigated them by spamming jump.
1F9: Boss Room 2 Finale (Photosensitivity Warning)

The hardest section I will ever play in SMW. This 30 second room took me 100 hours to complete, almost a third of my total playtime for the hack. It's hard to put to words how difficult this room is. Beating it felt like a true accomplishment. I want to thank Anon again for this experience. It was truly special and something I'll never forget.
Going Too Far: Final Room

This room is almost as hard as the previous, and is definitely the most finnicky. The crux of the room is timing the spring drop, which you control with the L R on off blocks.
Master and Apprentice: Final Room

The final room is a direct homage to The Sun in Master Courses. It is intended to be an easier room and a reward for getting through the rest of this challenging level.
Alpine Climb: Final Room

This room leans heavily on the large berries, and has some very cool movement. The hardest jump of the room is to the wiggler right in the middle, the timing is very precise to actually interact with it's hitbox.
Alpine Climb: Room 2

This is the shortest and easiest room in the level, it ramps up quite a bit in the next 2 sections.
Pipe Dream: Room 3

This is where the level really becomes a cape level. You have to have lots of control of the cape to make the dives and pumps properly in this room. The hardest trick is throwing the shell up into the turnblock and maintaining enough height to get into the horizontal pipe. Very challenging room, but very fun.
Alpine Climb: Room 4

This is the most challenging room of the level. It's the longest section, and has some very fast paced platforming. There is no checkpoint after the first pipe entry, you have to react very quickly to falling out of the pipe and go the correct direction.
Ocean Stroll: Room 3

Easily the most difficult section before special world. This section is just insanely hard for a number of reasons. You still can't swim, and the tides are present but now they switch direction on a timer and the level has screen-wrap enabled. The timer is so specific that you can mess up an attempt 30 full seconds before you actually die and realize you messed up. It's hard to point to the har...

What an accomplishment, Thirdwall. I hopped in stream here & there throughout the process, what a ride. This will definitely be remembered as one of the greatest achievements in our little Mario World community. I'm glad you stuck with it, & even more excited you uploaded these clears. Hats off to you, brother, I knew you had it in ya. Speedruns when? :D
