i love this one, great job.
Nice rendition of a great Dwight Yoakam song.
Nice cover, man. You're keeping Jimmy Buffett alive with his spirit across the world. 😊
Nice tribute. We'll all miss him.
I think she liked it...
Do this with a twelve string
Keep up the hard work
Love it....smooch ❤
Well, that was really good! Loved it!
Thank you!
Very Good Babe,
Loving my hubby.
HELL YES!!
Damn good cover !! you rock!
Wow! Love you babe
Ooow good 👍👌💪🥺
Easy chords and the lyrics are already imbedded into my mind, think of a country song with the same bpm and easy vocals then and I’m 100% banging this out at the next back garden fire in my house back in London while I’m back in my native lands for a short while
If snoop dogg was a country artist instead of a rapper
Geez...this is solid! (I love that you can find something years old that is like, "Damn..."
Thank you!
HELL YEAH BROTHER! Very cool!
That's cool
Word
Nice.
Fuckin eh dude!
Beautiful old Teisco!
Thank you. Replaced the original gold foil with a rebuilt ebay special (still have the original). Sprayed a gallon of electrical contact cleaner on the pots and have to use pliers to tune it. Might be worth $150 if everybody didn't remove the Teisco logo off the headstock back in the 60's.
Yes!
Nice job
Thank you! I played it in a bar last night--it definitely captures the attention of a certain age group. The look on their faces is like, I was not expecting THAT!
This is my favourite version of this song.
You teached me something good, thank you
sounds like country music wow
What a sound from your canto nice job!
What chord shapes is he using? I think he has a capo on the 7th Fret, so a G shape would be a D, but...... Anyway it sounds GREAT.
Thank you. And yes the capo is on the 7th with a G shape, which makes it a D. And the other chord is a C shape, which makes it a G. So, it's only a one chord and a four chord. I think The Gourds play it in the key of A--the one is an A chord, and the four is a D; so place the capo at the second fret and play the G shape for the one chord and the C shape for the two if you want it to sound like the original. Hear The Gourds play it here: th-cam.com/video/H4hGSR5njZE/w-d-xo.html Thanks again for diggin' what I dig...
@@roadrashroy5334Thanks for that, and I like yours is better than the Gourds.
Nice
How is this not blown up!?!
Thanks Natalie.
You gave me the idea my friend wanted to give you props and what your inspiration led to. soundcloud.com/beat-debris/chicken-livin
Love your version man. Alot! Im gonna work it out in dropped D tuning........cheers!
Thanks a lot Stephen! I'm just using Dm and Am7 in this version. The alternating bass will sound better in drop D on those fatter strings; wish I'd thought of that...
just goes to show you how arrangement and feeling goes a long way. tom waits version makes it sound like its all one chord for example.
Thanks a lot for commenting! One of my favorites for a long time that took even longer to try and figure out how to play.
Bro how did you get that mic sound? My band needs that trick to make even better blues.
Google up "beer can mic". I bought it a couple years ago, probably on fleabay. Has an old fashioned telephone receiver/piezo disc on one end and a 9 volt battery powered preamp in the other. 1/4" guitar cable jack to a little pignose amp. It's a feedback machine though; not likely useable in a live setting. I used Reaper, two tracks...recorded the guitar part with a dummy vocal mic for the video, then went back and recorded voice. Call me old school, call me ignorant of new technology...both are accurate.
I did the same on this one with the beer can mic...I think it's a better recording: th-cam.com/video/Abl0uRN8TJY/w-d-xo.html
@@roadrashroy5334 nope me and my band mates are recording in a similar style. He runs a lot of his gear through the pig nose. **Also the feedback gives it that authenticity** keep it going brotha
Love it. Great recording.
Forgot to say thanks to Uncle Mark from the Mother Ship.
