in constructed i've found that qi'ra is a monster, making efficient use of sentinel units and grit units to grind aggro/tempo decks into the late game where you can swing the game into your favor but in limited i agree that she seems a little too slow to make good use of without a near perfect draft

You cannot play Multitalented to clear your stun and do the other affects. The stun cancels the whole card.

The Bamf that Daytripper brings in must immediately be placed on an enemy and the she deals one damage to all enemies with a Bamf. You weren’t playing the Bamf but were taking it into hand and you weren’t doing the damage.

The cards that trigger Pursued by the past don’t do there affect and also bring in your Nemesis. When you took Nowhere is safe you lost the support and you brought in your nemesis. All the counters come off when the nemesis comes in and you don’t trigger losing your the upgrade. All standard 3 cards operate this way.

I really like your setup. The camera is super nice and it feels like I'm sitting there playing it myself. I like the videos you've been making keep it up!

Enjoyed the video! In general, I have enjoyed drafting set 2 but I will say the lack of real chase legendaries outside of Poe, Krayt, and The Darksaber has dampered things a bit at my LGS. Set 1 just had such great value with Vader, Luke, Boba, the Falcon, Avenger, SLB, and the 4 double aspect cards. Having said that, I have enjoyed drafting Gar Saxon, Qi'ra, Rey, Bossk, Cad, and Fennec so far. My absolute fav was Qi'ra as she can be absolutely stifling with her shields and I have found a lot of players will steer clear of villain blue for whatever reason. I was really high on Rey during prerelease but the times I played her in draft, the games themselves were so grindy and not quite as enjoyable as I was hoping. The surprising one for me was Fennec Green as I went 3-0 with her while leaning into capture. So overall, still enjoying it but wish the value was a bit higher.

You can only play one players side scheme per turn per player and in one or two player you can only have one side scheme out at a time.

Can’t play summoning spell or chaos magic in alter ego so you shouldn’t have been able to alter ego action and draw while quicksilver was on board.

And i agree with your conclusions… i made a video explaining the deckbuild and said there that i don’t think it’s enough to push Rocket over Ronan the Accuser. This scenario is just too brutal with the threat and doesn’t give Rocket enough breathing room to flip down and tinker as often as he’d like :/

I haven't played him again since being traumatized by him in the campaign and that insane campaign side-scheme he had! Just a quick question: I noticed that you draw your encounter cards and reveal them one at a time, rather than draw them all and then reveal them as the rules suggest. Is this a game-style choice on your part?

Good game. Ronan is extremely difficult. He’s one of my least played Villains. Just for future reference, the Clarity of purpose is in the deck to grab with Suit Up and use to pay for Moongirl since its a genius resource. It’s not meant to be played on your hero. If you want to play one, put another copy in your deck.

You didn't deal the encounter card when the hydra soldier was defeated

Fyi, you can't do suit up just to get professor x because it says search for the ally and an upgrade you can attach to them. Since you couldn't find am upgrade, you can't find professor.

Thank you for the amazing video! Super helpful for a new player like myself. Quick question though, in the draft basic section you mention limiting your aspects during the leader draft. You said you try to pick the three hero or three villain leaders if possible. Why is that exactly? I watched another video on draft and that person said the exact opposite, which is to try and pick at least one hero and one villain so you stay open during the card draft process. Thank you again!!

I think you're looking at the Clan Wren Rescuer as a 2/3 with a caveat instead of as a 2/3 with an upside (which is what this is). I think that being able put that experience token anywhere instead of just itself makes this as good as Pyke Sentinel given that they both have a relevant type and that this plays with Rey.

Just got Sinister motives, but is Venom actually damaged when you add chime counters? I hadn’t been playing it that way (making it harder I think).

Awesome video! I was eager to see this decklist in action. :) Just a quick catch: Multitalented is a thwart and attack, so it can trigger both sunglasses and coat at the same time.

Don't you need to be in AE and exhaust to start on shopping spree? Or is there a work around im missing?

The biggest mistake my group made was to misread/misunderstand the way additional cards worked from leveling up. We just added the cards to our playable deck, not understanding that we had a card limit. We played Gloomhaven for a year that way. Not gonna lie, the game felt way more beer and peanuts and was more fun most of the time. We still talk about making that mistake a house rule and changing back.

I mean no offence, but there are a lot of play errors. 1) When Magneto attacked in turn 1, he would have taken 1 consequential damage as the last step of the attack (after his response triggers). 2) On turn 3, after Master Mold schemed and put the Mark III in play, the minion would then scheme for 2. 3) As someone else already mentioned, the Mark VIII would have fished out Stun Beam from the discard pile. 4) You pointed out that Crossfire has Quickstrike, but did not take 2 damage when he entered play.

Two mistakes I think I noticed are when you put sentinel mark 8 into play it engages you so i think you were supposed to look for an attachment prior to the shuffle. The other is you didnt discard brute force after you made a basic attack.

Hey I just want to let you know that the MojoMania rules insert page 7 says: "MaGog does not win by completing his main scheme, but instead by earning ten ratings counters per player on The Champion. He can still win by defeating each hero in the game." So you shouldn't have gone on to Spiral, because you didn't win the scenario! But I agree that this scenario does seem pretty unfair with cards that can add 2 ratings counters out of nowhere.

I'm impressed with how worn your hit point dials and threat tokens are! This game must get a lot of love from you, haha. Also: oh no! When you flipped Quicksilver between alter ego and hero form during this game, you didn't do the Forced effect on the main scheme which would have moved the threat from your identity to the main scheme. At 26:50, this would have made you lose!

Iceman rocks! really powerful and super fun. He is great against the most difficult villains in expert

I love this game. I have all the cards, but what I do not particularly like is the fact that the mechanics allows the potential possibility of beating a very powerful villain (in comics terms) with a single "weak" hero, without using allies, so basically alone. Think Hawkeye vs. Apocalypse, for instance. In the comics this fight would have no chance whatsoever.

36:38 gene pool needs threat as psylocke too the hit… you would have had retaliate which may have knocked you out… you still would have had the win I think with lockjaw and all that! Woo!!

9:48 you forgot to put all your resource cards from your discard pile back into your deck. THEN you start discarding cards based on how much damage. This increases the likelihood that you will then draw resource cards from your deck.

Thanks for this playthrough. Late to the party I know, and only half an hour in, but at that point you’re playing the opponent’s turn in the wrong order - cards should be played out first, then the battle line takes its actions. That might be why your own battle line is getting out of control…

Unlucky... the sheer number of minions on table put immense pressure on you...and I think you flirted with the scheme a bit too much even though you had a good thwarter in Gambit! I can hear the frustration in your voice...I've been there too!:p...with a villain like Klaw who applies constant pressure, only thing I can suggest is that you need to play as many cards in your hand per phase and not bank them for a potential better hand...it's a scrap fight...just stabilise the board anyway you can otherwise you sink down deeper...play Fury straight away...consider not just drawing three cards...but would 4 damage or 2 threat have helped more...anyway it was a tough match and luck of the draw can also make it a mountain to climb...great playthrough!
