One of the great things about Snatch is that all of the characters are memorable. Guy gave all his actors their moment even the ones on screen for a minute or so. Tyrone starts off as a joke but he gets the boys out of bookies and finds Franky. It's called not wasting your characters.
This being a spy movie, it's even funnier when you think about how bad the OPSEC here is, compared to what's taught in the CIA manuals: - They're using their own landline to extort money - They reveal they're a man and a woman, instead having one of them do the talking - He ends the demand with "at the time of your choosing," losing whatever leverage he may have had by shifting the balance of power to the person who should be the victim. - They're calling in the middle of the night to appear more mysterious, when in fact people who just got out of bed are liable to be irritable or maybe drunk from the night before, and thus more likely to be hostile towards your ideas.
Apparently this was done in real time between Pitt and Malkovich, with Malkovich in a hotel in Paris because he was working on a different film, in the middle of the night, screaming into the phone, while wondering what the people in the next room were thinking.
"Osbourne ...? Osbourne Cox ?" - " Am I out of line here ?" and after the call " I am very surprised he did not give us the reward ..." I cant imagine how much fun they had playing this scene. Brad Pitt was superstar already then after Ocean`s 11 and Mr. and Mrs. Smith and now he played probably the most stupid gym trainer and blackmailer in the world. This phone call, conversation in the car and his little finger dance is comedy gold.
Pitt was always a character actor disguised as a hollywood star. Just check out stuff like 12 monkeys, he's really good in those kind of outsider roles Much like Malkovich actually
Both phones can be picked up as it’s ringing or dialing numbers, not too sure why they had to count down for her to pick up
lol I just realized, it adds to the idiocy
Cohen brothers reek of class elitism. They are so smart cause they went to college and everyone else is a dumy. OK.
Listen to me you two clowns 😂😂
Women’ll get you killed.
From the void we came and to the void we must return!
One of funniest scenes 😂😂😂
Am I out of line here??? LMAO
A wonderfully choreographed ensemble of imbeciles
“Don’t blow a gasket, Osborne” LOL

Brad Pitt is a very good dumb ass actor
"we warn YOU"
O S B O R N E C O X?
Pitt is such a great airhead in this movie, his mannerisms were great.
That's probably bc Pitt himself is an airhead irl. He really doesn't seem like a very bright person.
@@asdf-oq4zr Jesus. Touch some grass
@@asdf-oq4zr I don’t agree - I think it’s actually difficult for a stupid actor to portray a stupid character in comedy
Of course that's a genius observation in order to play something you have to actually be that irl 🤡@@asdf-oq4zr

And they mentioned one of their names. That’s probably the stupidest part.
What manuals? Seems quite interesting…
@@brentbartlett6619 Just google for declassified CIA manuals. There are a bunch government websites where they are available for everyone.
There are various manuals on operational security from various branches. You can pdfs of them rn.

That’s amazing
If only he'd taken his own advice and paid that man his money, so much trouble could have been avoided.
1:20 ....
this is so dumb
I’ve met guys like the one Brad Pitt is playing and they are always looking for a way to make a buck but they always end up with nothing.
i love tilda swinton's expression in the background 😂
I think that’s Frances McDormand.
@@jakestroll6518 no, it's tilda swinton. frances mcdormand isn't lying in ozzy's bed giving him the eye.
@@ValiantKnight7983 That person is barely visible to the camera, idk how you can even see her eye,lol
