Just saw this- if you're gonna do a comparison, at least do it right, what you actually did was compare vanilla minecraft with shaders, bare bones resource pack, AND fresh animations...

I've been seing Fresh more and more over the last few months, and I just have to say... I don't like it. It makes the game feel too animated. Even in Bedrock the addition of eyes blinking still just feels off, something that just should not exist. Something that, as a Minecraft veteran since 2013 has been hearing ever since Mojang was bought by Microsoft is that Minecraft doesn't feel simple anymore, and while I mostly disagree with that sentiment, I do feel that something like this adds to that belief of Minecraft not feeling simple. This is just something that can't work in basegame Minecraft, it takes away from the simple feeling of Minecraft. Hell, even things like 3D item models in the basegame such as the trident and spyglass don't feel as simple as the classic 2D item textures

Thell never add stuff like this, too afraid of “losing identity” why no furniture besides the bed exists, not even new ways to combine food. It will always be something that could have been but never will for the sake of “player creativity”

Minecraft fans: Why wont Minecraft go back to the older ways of doing things? The new textures and items are just too complicated! And Mojang are so lazy, it takes so long for them to make updates! Also Minecraft fans: OMG they should totally add more vibrant and fluid animations that would take up a bunch of development time to impliment properly across all versions! High Definition Minecraft! Make the game look like a completely different game!

I think that these animations are very cool, but people saying that base MC should be animated like this, are actively advocating for MC to completely do away with its own atmosphere. MC attracts people with its desolation. It leaves just enough to the players imagination for it to be charming and engaging. It doesnt SHOW every single detail, it simply IMPLIES detail. This is not because MC has bad graphics, the game is deliberately visually designed to do this. I can guarantee people that MC would lose a lot of its older players, because the atmosphere of the game would go from ambient, unique and mysterious, to childish, upbeat, over-polished and corporate. It would feel less like MC and more like fortnite which would be unappealing to adults, especially adults who turn to MC because they are specifically seeking an age-neutral, imgination-based, escapist video game
