    Just out of interest, do you think the data you input could be manipulated to mimic the trajectory of an 8.44 gr, 177 pellet ? I recently bought an HT60 without the LRF, and have set the A-E menus to give me zeros from 20 to 60 metres. I use a golf type rangefinder, which does the job brilliantly, but it would be cool if the scope could do it for me. Nice vid.

    • @kentoutdoorsinnz7014
      @kentoutdoorsinnz7014 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can't see why not. The ballistics menu allows you to plug in projectile data e.g. weight, speed, coefficient etc and from that it calculates drop. It doesn't care what's propelling the projectile or what projectile you use. As long as you can plug inthe above it does the math.

That shows what it's like at about 200yrds or so. For me 6 - 13 would be too much for the ranges I shoot. Could I shoot deer at 250 with a 3-8. Yup. I reckon easy but it's not as clear as it is at 50yrds but clear enough. If you mostly shoot to about 100yrds my preference would be 3 - 8 power. Hey mate. I heard a rumour a year ago that you might be able to firmware update the older models. Do you know if that's possible? I've got an HT-60 LRF but the LRF is useless and I wish I'd never paid for that extra weight. It often shows about 4.2m no matter where I point the rifle. I also bought a PARD DS35-50 which looks like a traditional scope, but LRF is great and image clarity is better. Tried my hand and shooting pigeons in a barn the other night, but didn't record it. Pretty successful once you get ballistics (on the PARD) dialed in.

    In the US Bunny Busting is where we learn how to shoot from long distances with a 30.6 or work alike with a good scope; they are literally little specs in the scope and explode upon impact, thus 'busting'. Not much left for eating as it's to learn allowing for wind and drop from a far, FAR distance.

      Yeah works pretty well. I've just started to get the hang of the noises they make when they get loaded which saves busting ropes. Fast and reliable.

      @@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 Thanks. I just took out a W10000 out of my LC and it's going back to ARB for the 2nd time to get fixed. Electric winches are not farm-proof. They are unreliable.

    Too much waiving about when sighting up made me a bit dizzy so only watched a couple of minutes.

      Lol. Fair enough. Sometimes once video is running you need to adjust. With the deer I wasn't too fussy as just wanted to get the footage!

      @@TheAtomsman lol. Mate I have a shooting stick but if it was the jiggly footage of the deer it's because I was walking up to them. And filming at the same time. It settled down once I got there.

    How, please, do you download your videos from the Sytong to your computer? Do you need to use the HDMI port, or is there another way? Thanks.

      I normally take the sd card out of the sytong then plug that into the pc. Easiest way for me.

    Good work. I like my Sytong, but I haven't started taking pictures with it yet. Just bought a memory card for it, so hopefully next time I go out I can get some pictures to share. Best wishes from Nelson.

      Sounds awesome. The video is really helpful. Playback in slomo has helped me diagnose why I'm missing shots. Downside of that is , although I like to blame bullets or scope the slow motion proves every time it's my shooting! But at least I can improve that.
