Dragon Boat Race 2011 - Toronto Island
The Dragon Boat Festival has been a tradition within the Chinese Community for centuries. Over the years the Dragon Boat Races have also been an annual event in Toronto on Toronto Island. Since we can not enjoy the event live this year; here is a celebration of the Dragon Boat competition from a few years back with a race between the various agencies from the developmental services sector of Toronto.

Wow awesome!!!
I sure do miss Kent Finlay. The Godfather of Americana Music
Takes me right back to the carefree days of the early '80s in Edmonton, Alberta and hearing this song many times on the radio on AM 930 CJCA! Just heard it on CKUA last week for the first time in years, that was SO awesome! Oh, I wish I could go back to those days for a week and be 8 or 9 and see my mom again! I miss you forever, mom!🥲❤
R.I.P.
He and I were the same age n i played the guitar once upon a time. Should have stayed with it. Long stubborn story 😩
CFRA 1980 May
Memories of Toronto. Lots of fun back then.
Goes straight to your head. Thanks GUY AND KRIS
I had no idea at the time, as a teenager, that I was part of "a small but dedicated group of fans for his albums and concerts during his lifetime." (!) I thought he was better than John Prine and David Bromberg and still do. He shines. A legend. Teach your children.
Mike Oh - The Early Years
Song by the great Guy Clark r.i.p.
Someone once said 'the last quarter of the 20th century wouldn't have been worth living without John Prine". Neither would the first quarter of the 21st century. Thank you, John.

Missing you terribly on this night, JP. I love you always. Thanks for all you gave.
This is Alan and Rosalie. We bought the house from your dad and Bonnie - and we still live in it.

❤ we still Love you & your art my friend..Blair & Andrea...
I recall the band performed this song at the 1981 or 1982 Juno awards.
Great Nilsson lost !!!!
One star I would not recommend going to this camp. There's something weird happening at this camp I don't know what it is, but I would not want to come back to this camp unfair treatment.
That’s my grandmother on the far left ❤
Cool! 👍
That is so wonderful! Nice you shared that🎶
It's such a shame. Harry had one of the greatest voices then he and John had to get in a screaming match which tore Harry's vocal cords. He certainly obtained legend status before he left us. R.I.P. Harry.
Yeah sure, absolutely nothing to do with his alcohol and drug abuse. Also a heavy smoker. Just blame it on a screaming match.
@@ytthrowaway4584 In his biography he and others tell you this themselves. Sure the other stuff contributed to it.

Beautiful
I remember this song as part of the soundtrack for my family’s trip to the east coast. Search for years until finding it here.🎉
I just found this album at a Flea Market on the weekend. I couldn't be happier.
Awesome!! 👍
1:40 wow, these are all great songs and they say so much! I am very happy that I did get to see John once in concert. It was in Clearwater, Florida. 😢

Why didn't they release this album? It's a keeper!
LEON RUSSELL!
RIP Susan Lethbridge
Great song, Brings back memories of years gone by.
That was 1978
Guess I was 16 at a friend's house and his oldest brother left box of records what a treasure
It's kind of doubly poignant to hear Brian Gill open this tribute to Steve. I played guitar with him a few times here in Moscow, ID. He's been gone 8 years now. I hope he, Steve, & John are trading songs up in heaven.
The first song that my first girlfriend and I listened to together!! Back when we met in 1980!! I learned that she has since passed away in 1995. R.I.P. Carolyn. ☮️🙏☮️🙏☮️🙏🎼❤
