The World's First Inline 6 Powered Production Motorcycle - The Benelli 750 & 900 Sei
I owed one and I loved it!
THE FASTEST MOTORCYLES THEY MADE. IN 1983 WAS 750 TURBO NINJA OVER 120 HP WHAT G-FORSE😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I had a 1976 KZ900 and a 1977 KZ1000 back in the early 80s. the 77 KZ1000 had an RC Enginering 1075 big bore kit, Andrews 3X cams and 29mm mikuni carburetors, wish I still had those bikes.
I got mine in 2005. it was stolen (probably to order) in 2009... the only thing I didn't like about it was the small tank capacity. it could do everything else perfectly and the relatively low BHP was offset by that amazingly tractable engine. I never found 'the limit' on the twisty bits and it could keep up with far more powerful bikes because it was so nimble incidentally: it arose from Honda's development test bed when they were designing the single sided swinging arm for the VFR series (the RC30). they used the engine from the Revere (which was shaft drive) and the engineers realised that in the end, they'd made a great bike. it was called the Bros in Japan and the Hawk in US and Canada... the export models had a few more of those really nice castings than the Japanese version a really great bike that could do everything well (except go touring two-up)
Very nice & well made presentation - however it must be said, that the KZ 1000 did only rule the superbikes until it was de-throned by the mightier, faster & better handling SUZUKI GS 1000 in 1978- which was - in all cycle tests at that era - the overall better, but foremost stronger bike with superior handling - so, the REAL King of the late Seventies/ early eighties was the SUZUKI GS 1000 - which was actually even lighter than its smaller sibling: the SUZUKI GS 750 - which was as well "according cycle US mag": the best 750 ccm bike You could buy - at the time- facts !
What ? I'm shocked you didn't have a shot of the 1978 KZ 1000 Z1R. I bought one new in '78 after test riding it and paid $4000 Canadian. I put 40,000 km. on it. It was a burnout machine and was almost impossible to do a wheely. ( unless you had a passenger. )
Vincent black shadow was a early superbike, i believe.
eat a harley davidson no problem
Z900rs
Still a good looking bike!
lots of words in this vid, most arent accurate
Talks about heads and shows pistons on connecting roads. 😂🤣 Nice to see this getting some exposure though.
Show me on the bike where the steel trellis frame is located
where is the sound?????? clickbait!!!!!!!
Triumph BSA and Norton could have done fantastic the problem is they had no leadership
I was 20 years old in 1982, riding a 1978 KZ 1000 Z1R.
Too bad they can't build a street bike as well as they built the XR750... Don't Overthink IT...😊😊😊
Har-binger not Hairbringer. Good Video.
The true widow makers was the models from 69-72 I think
I wanted one so bad had a poster on my wall when I was used to dream of rippin down road!
Evel Knievel had his own paint scheme, but it wasn’t from a race track. And while the XR won a lot of races, no way was it a more winning bike than the very famous, very successful Norton Manx. But that was on a different continent, so I guess it doesn’t count?
Rubbish
Thats slow, I run faster 😂😂😂
i hv a CB 350 cafe racer
In the late 1970's I saw three radical bikes, an elf chassis ed bike, a Quazar, and a strange bike, either rocket 3 or trident engined tomos chassis. I remember it as tomos, thomos though I may be wrong, it was very lozenge style slab tank at about 45 degrees sloping down from the handlebars to under the seat, side panels lozenge sloping up to tail light, attracted a crowd at the Viking hotel in Ramsey at theTT, along with the aforementioned bikes. It may have been a one off personal custom or styleover. Anyone any clues?
Sat on 255 km/h forever On mine 😊
My dad passed away from ALS 18 months ago. He left me with his 76 gl1000. Its metallic red and has custom Marshall exhaust pipes, he bought it in England 2nd hand, it was only a year or two old when my dad scooped it up. Then brought it to Canada in 1980. I went everywhere with my dad on this bike when I was a kid. Absolutely loved it. Its in pieces atm. My dad was in the middle of restoring it and never got to finish. I'd do it myself but, I'd rather leave it to someone who knows what they're doing lol. One day......One day
They were too expensive and to dear to insure in UK for some but we still loved them.
Nice video. I had one for a while..crazy thing😂
Who's the guy trying to start the bike while on the side stand? You do that often and soon you'll have no side stand when the frame lug breaks off. Don't ask how I know this.
I had a old KZ1000 engine on my go cart for awhile. Then put it into my IH Cub Cadet mini tractor. Racing/rider mower. It would go well over 60MPH... I never tried to top it out. it would get sketchy at 50mph... I had already had a 48 Hp forklift engine on it, and added a front suspension and front disk brakes from some old import car. So it did handle decent and stop when b=needed. It was just WAY too powerful. I was racing motocrass at the time and no fear. But I never ran that cubcadet all the way. Im sure it would go over 100MPH as at 60MPH it was only at 6500Rpms in 5th gear. It also had used rear 15 inch rims, racing slicks on rear, and 13 inch rims up front with car tires. All cobbled from wrecks and salvage. Payed for with my sweat. And machined when necessary by a nice old timer retired auto machinist turned scrapyard guy. He had a small automotive machine shop there too. But no longer machined for pay. He was really old.
I bought one of these in 92 new from the dealer at a discount because they wouldn't sell. I worked a deal to include many Two Brothers Racing parts with the sale and had a canyon ripper instantly. Sold it for more than I paid for it a few years later but I still wish I had that sweet machine.
Ich hab in den 80ern 2 gehabt , das Fahrwerk war eine gummikuh, eine Katastrophe.😅
I seen one 2 weeks ago nw fort wayne.
Too much talking ! I would like to hear the engine sound !
I actually own a lower CC version of this bike, the 1980 KZ650F-1 CUSTOM. such a good bike man
God dude your speaking cadence is unbearable. I get you gotta squeeze it for length but you can talk a little bit faster and it'll be ok. By the way it doesn't use a jet turbine. It's a turboshaft from a helicopter aka no jet or thrust propulsion or whatever since y'know it's spinning a shaft. If your whole schtick is to cover rare motorcycles, you should be at least sort of knowledgeable about this stuff.
The Honda Hawk NT650 also had a crankshaft with offset crankpins. Making it a very smooth ride, even with less than 90 degrees between cylinders.
Those are still great bikes even by today's standards. Way ahead of their time.
I just bought a 1987 kz1000 police bike😊
If you’re not convinced that this bike was ground breaking Randakk used one of Magnachargers superchargers, and on a pretty conservative tune, they made a 0 - 60 of 2.6 seconds, which goes toe to toe with a Suzuki Hayabusa.
If you read the book 'Whatever happened to the Brittish motorcycle industry' by Bert Hoptwood, it goes into detail about the Trident/Rocket 3's failure due to a lot of politics and pressure for returns by share holders. The whole book tells of the failure of the industry as a whole - starting before the second world war !
In Pakistan MTT 420rr is legal
First one on the ground dotection
Plenty of them
Alloy frame
Did not like corners too much. The swing-arm Bushes would wear easily., creating a disconnected feeling. And when you dropped the front forks by an Inch, and used a softer front tyre, things were better. Loved the motor, though. Screamed like a Banshee, throughout the range. Unkilllable.
showing a Harley Davidson side valve production line is a bit of a downturn!
I want couple from y'all too my engine not toned down puts out more than space shuttle even with solid boosters roll Royce jet engine
Yeah my rolls Royce jet engine bring my medicines Walmart plus
