Lagotto Adventure #3 | Jokkmokk, Kvikkjokk & Midsummer in Gällivare, June 21-23 2024
We had great plans to hike around in Kvikkjokk and stay there over midsummer but had to change them last minute because of a big thunder and rain storm. So we stayed one night while it poured down. Lets say we felt like we didn't have any luck with the weather, but we actually had a lot of luck, we only had one rainy night on the trip.
Besides we were so happy with the new plans to be on the mountain Dundret instead, it will be a really fun memory at least. Not the idyllic midsummer but the most memorable yet.
We hope you enjoy this video all though its a bit all over the place.

This is a normal day in june we filmed. Our dream and wish is to live on the countryside so Frasse can run more freely but right now we have do the best with what we've got. Note that no day is ever the same and this is just one day of many in our life, the only thing we try to do is have a routine and this video shows what we do on a normal workday. Lagotto Advanture is our new series and we will post videos whenever we go on adventures and catch something on camera. This was filmed on a Saturday in June 2024. Frasse loved to walk around on the coast of Björkvik, although it was a bit to cold for us to swim. Editing and music was made by mom. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for watching!

How amazingly that their fur colors get changed with the time of growing up.
We too have a lagotto here in Los Angeles. He is a 3 years old boy. Our daily routine is pretty much similar as yours. Such amazing breed , needs lots of attention but wonderful affection in return....We feel so lucky to have him in our lives. Believe you guys feel the same way, cheers to lagotto pawrents 🍀❤️

Lagotto is a pretty rare breed from Italy originally, they are very loving and kind 🥰

This breed is the most active breed we have ever owned. More active than the German Shepherd or Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. When Gus is tired & well exercised he stays out of trouble. We've learned a Lagotto is very smart, which is challenging.
It is such a challenge to wear out the Lagotto. Our Gus will do "zoomies" around the yard multiple times, running as fast as he can! A well exercised dog is a well behaved dog. I'm sure he'll settle down moe as he gets older. ❤
It really is, they are made to work hard all day in the forrest 😅🌳you are right about that, so nice that you let Gus get his energy out when he needs to, and zoomies are the funniest thing 🥰 we reslly hope so!

Frasse is only sometimes naughty, but im learning Finnish in the duolingo app and this was a sentence 😂 very suitable!

Thank you for #2. The scenery is gorgeous! It reminds me of when my husband and I visited Yellowstone in Wyoming. It was summertime, yet we were high enough in altitude to enjoy snow! So much fun. And Frasse seemed to really enjoy himself! He is sooo cute sitting like a human...your "not really normal dog" is fun to watch. ♡

@@lagottolife My husband's sister lives in Cody, Wyoming, which is nearby. We spent a week with her and she took us to Yellowstone, which is full of pine trees and areas similar to your video...very beautiful!

Frasse must love his balcony. His nose is busy smelling all the interesting things! It must be challenging keeping him exercised in an apartment. We never seem to be able to wear out our Gus's energy (14 months) and we have a back yard. Gus enjoys the car ride best. And if I roll down the window and drive slowly, his little nose twitches back and forth as he takes in the interesting smells. ♡
He truly loves sitting out and watching over our street. We are lucky being able to work from home so we take Frasse on 5 walks each day 😅 some days we hang out in the dog park where he can run around like a maniac 😂 and on the weekends we take longer hikes, discovering new places, Frasse really likes the weekends and mostly sleep on weekdays. Aww, that's so cute, him sticking out his little nose from the window 🥰 how lucky you are that he likes the car!

What a beautiful place! Frasse looks like he is having a wonderful time with y'all (that's Texan for "you all"). I'm so glad you've started a new series of videos. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Gus has never been to a lake or ocean. However, he loves his wading pool. He never lies down in the water. My husband runs water from the hose slowly and Gus empties the pool by using 'digging' movements with his front paws. He rarely stops and barks with excitement in the process. We laugh and laugh. I guess he retained the digging gene from his ancestors digging truffles. He, also, enjoys being in the water. 🐶

We got very lucky and called our breeder right when the puppies were planned. But try give them a call, their name is Lord Nelson and we are very happy with them! 🥰 I hope you get your own puppy soon!

Hello! What is your dog's relationship with food? I adopted a Lagotto puppy, we are getting used to each other, but he is absolutely not interested in food. Whether it's meat or dry food, he eats without joy. Have you had similar difficulties?

Hi! Right now its ok, he is currently just wanting/eating raw meat 😂 but he will gladly eat anything from our table as long as it's not veggies. Maybe its just a phase, Frasse have had times when he doesn't want to eat anything because of hormones or new situations. I hope your dog will find what he really enjoys soon, hang in there, you are doing a great job! 🤗💕

Oh, sad to hear you had to say goodbye to a friend and hope you get another puppy! We love Lagotto for their independence and loving nature. They are also very funny and always give us a smile on our faces 🥰 The difference i would say is that they are very much like cats in some ways, or at least Frasse is.

Nice cover on Frasse to keep his coat free of snow. Lagottos are "velcro" dogs in personality as well as coat.
