I used to work for Harrah's Cherokee as a Table Games Dealer. I left as they were asking us Dealers to go to Murphy. But it was too far for me to drive. I miss it, as I loved helping my players to win! These casinos are built on losers, not winners....or they'd never have enough to build these casinos.🤭 I went out to Nevada...hated it! I worked for the Aquarius Casino Resort.....but resigned in 2019, just before the pandemic hit. I hate Nevada. All that hot dry heat.....ugh! Going to come back east to my western Carolina mountains!😊

When I was a little girl, my Big Sister from BBBS used to take me there all the time. My aunt had her wedding venue there as well. I love the arch bridge and the log cabin. That is a beautiful area. I miss Asheville so much. I miss the Blue Ridge, Pisgah, the old flea market, Ms. Teagues (not there anymore in Woodfin), the old convenient store in Woodfin and the one where I grew up across the bridge by Ingle Road, Beaver Dam, Picadilly Cafe and tge bakery that used to be close to tge Fresh Market and Bever Dam (can't remember the name). They had the best ranbow iced gingerbread men...yumm! Fishing in the French Broad, Sliding Rock, Bridal Veil Falls, Carl Sandburg Home, Vance Birth Place, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Biltmore Estate and that whole area, berry picking by the railroad tracks, Walking through the neighborhood by Beaver Dam (the houses are so beautiful and the oaks in the Fall are just spectacular.) There's so many nice places to see there and the folks are second to none in the hospitality department. I miss it so much. I wish I could move back. I'd go in a heartbeat. Thank you for the walk and the memories. If I'm not mistaken, WNCA is beside this trail? I always dreamed of going to school there. I hope y'all are safe from the storm (September 2024) and that there's not much damage to the area. Just gorgeous! And Bo Jangles!! Bo biscuits...
