IM HAVING WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY! Gastric Sleeve Surgery via The NHS in The UK - Starting My Journey
What position have you been in since surgery? I have an adjustable bed and a lift chair. Will this be enough?
a week into my liver shrinkage diet and last 3 days have had diarrhoea.I think it’s dairy not being tolerated by my stomach
You Brits should really start measuring in kilograms. The rest of the world has no idea how it works with "stone "
I know 😂😂
2.2 pound to kilo, 14 pound to stone, so multiply 14 with her 13 stone to get 182 pound then divide by 2.2 and she's 82.7 kg.
Hi, so glad you decided to share your story. I’m week 12 with the dietitian now, learning so much and half way to my 5%. You’re a great inspiration, I’m going to watch your story in real time along with my journey. Maybe mad but makes sense to me now! 😊
Did you have a sleeve first. I have a sleeve at the moment but I get pain when I eat and have acid reflux as well. Did you get your revision on the NHS. Thank you any info would be great
Hello. I’ve just found your video. I’m thinking of having the sleeve surgery. May I ask how your maintaining is going, please? Xx
I’m day 10 of having 3 slim fast meal replacement a day with plenty of water to have a hiatus hernia removed and treatment for GERD. Operating 29th!
Please do an update if you can.
I lost my 20 kg in 2 months with very simple changes with my lifestyle and also with a awesome product. Thank you so much
Can I ask why haven’t given any updates? And why didn't you just go for a hernia repair first to see if that helped your reflux?
Thank you for sharing.
How are you doing now?
Did u have to have a camera down before surgery
hey, I've watched your journey over the years and I'm thankful for your honesty. I maintained after bypass for 18 months then bad habits crept back in 😢 I'm currently doing the new you plan which is basically starving myself, is so depressing. I understand what you mean about how it makes you feel. I wonder how you'll feel with the social aspect after the bypass when you go right back to barely eating. I look forward to seeing your journey. do you have an update video? xx
Well done I am going through my journey to lose weight. How much time did you have off work while you having your operation.
Just binged watched all your videos from the beginning. You've done so well and it looks like your whole life has changed so dramatically. I've got my first appointment with the surgery team in April, I've already completed 6 months with nutritionist and met the goals I needed to there. I'm really excited about this now. I was so fearful before but when I got the call to book my appointment I've felt nothing but excitement. How long was it from your first surgical appointment? Was there extra hurdles to meet? Best of luck with the rest of your journey and thank you for sharing. I will eagerly await new videos from you. Xxxx
You looked great in that dress. Absolutely gorgeous 😍 well done you. Xx
Any more updates? X
WOW, Great loss, we’ll done. I hope I can do half as well. My ops March 23rd 2023, I’m getting ready for my LRD diet and working out what I should buy in for after the op, vits and food.
Yes you did milk and yoghurt lol,I was just watching you as I have my blood taken in two days to pass on to those who'll decide if I get on the list or not...I was just watching and wondering what happened to you so I'm glad you are back on. I hope you get better and start living your best life.
I am 6 days post gastric sleeve and I too had 1 indented incision that feels too tight, that has caused me the most pain. Honestly, if it wasn’t for that one my tummy would have been fine. Still in a lot of pain with it 6 days in 😢 it shocked me as I have watched hundreds of weight lost surgery videos and each and everyone of them all said the incisions were fine and not painful after a couple of days so I didn’t to be in this much pain with it
not to mentions the main incision was about an inch or more deep like it was stiched to tight and it felt like it was ripping i felt like a wimp but the pain is just somthing else x
I had the exact same, 6 days in and I’m still in a lot of pain with it :(
what your explaining about the pain is just like what i had with my sleeve, ive had kids and gall stones and other sugerys and i got to say it was the worst pain ive ever had like a stitch but so intence i was crippled over for 3 weeks untill about week 6 when there was a pop and the pain stopped but its been over 4 years and if i dig where that was its still tender ive had scans and theres no hernia so it might be scar tissue who know but i get you about the pain its horrific its the hardest thing i ever done x
What exactly is a gastric bypass revision and how do you know if you require one? Glad your recovery seems to be going well 😃
Was it done on the Nhs
Yes 😊
Good luck with the surgery, I am in a very similar position so I hope to get some pointers going forward.
Good luck, hope you have a speedy recovery! I've watched all your previous videos as I'm on the waiting list for gastric sleeve. Yay! ... also, I noticed something float past you at the end of the video, was that just me?! Haha
Omg I was looking the other day wondering what happened 🥺
Are you getting it done through the nhs
Good luck with the surgery x
I’m 10 days post op….I’m at the puréed stage ugh it’s so hard
Just watching all your videos! Im just at the start of my journey! Theyve been a great help x
I’ve watched all your videos and your confidence grows in every video ❤️❤️❤️
Hi what stages did you go through before surgery
Can you please provide information on the pre op diet. What were you allowed to eat daily
I know this is an old video but I've got my surgery next week and I'm finding your channel SO helpful and reassuring! ❤️
Are u allowed tea and coffee?
Which yogurts did you have to have? Really enjoying your channel thank you so much!! I have a doctors appointment on Friday & hopefully I’ll be able to arrange some sort of surgery. I’ve tried absolutely everything else from pills to every kind of diet! I just can’t stick to them & I’m at my absolute rock bottom now 😭
Hi- just came across this video. I started on the nhs for weight loss surgery just coming up 4 years ago now- I’ve only just been signed off and put in the waiting list (of course covid hasn’t helped). Shocked how quickly you got signed off etc. anyway glad you have gone through this. I’m excited and nervous about having surgery and starting from scratch food wise afterwards
Did you have to go to a group session with anyone first
How long after the panel decide yes or no did you have to wait to no the outcone
You're very sensible about this whole thing...thats very refreshing
You do NOT look rubbish... beautiful 👍
Well done, u look amazing, remember the before girl is the one who started this journey ❤️
Hello hun Just want to ask how long did you wait for your weight loss surgery by NHS because I had my first appointment today and the lady said about 6-12 months at least 18 months?
Hey, Ive also just been referred but haven’t had my first appointment. May I ask how long you waited for your first appointment?
@@theannabeljshow I’ve just had my appointment through for my sessions and that only took a week for me
I've just been reffered on the new guidelines. I have a new onset type 2 diabetes high blood pressure. I'm 5ft 6.5inch. 14st 5lb bmi 31. New guidelines say if new to type 2 diabetes and between 30 and 35 bmi u can be reffered. I'm worried if I lose any more weight before I meet the next person in the refferal and bmi drops below 30 will I be refused
I've just found out I have diabetes type 2 and I have high blood pressure and bmi 38. Doctor has said I can be reffered for gastric sleeve. Is it a refferal or do I have to do anything else to be refferal. I'm 14st 3lb 5 ft 7
You will have to go to 6-8 months if dietishions and appointments
Can u not get lipo and tummy tuck on nhs after weight loose surgery
