I've tried so much and nothing worked so I'll give this a try now
Do Americans suffer from (Citrus- Gall-wasp) if not would you like some?) Just joking, because there’s nothing funny about these little bugger’s. And we have been trying to live with them, in our citrus plants for years. And global warming is proving to add to our war against insects and their destructive nature of feeding on our trees.?!!!
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. The leaves become important to properly ripen the fruit. Take care not to let the small tree hold on to too much fruit or you'll risk stunting it.
thanks! a lot of the fruit dropped from lack of sun (my husband moved the plant into a shady spot and I didn't notice until too late) 🥲 now, I'm just hoping no more fruit drop!
@@JTandLittleByou need a new husband
The bees sure love Meyer lemon blossoms. If they bloom indoors with no pollinators, do they still produce and hold fruit?
Oh, I just got to the part where you hand pollinate with a brush. Seems logical. I LOVE the smell of Meyer lemon blossoms! Totally with you there. 😊
did you finally find out how long you could keep preilla seeds?
well, it has been roughly 2.5 years and the seeds germinated for me this season
They are self pollinating. You dont gotta do that unless u wanna cross them with other chillie 🙈
whaaaaaaaaatttttt!!!! 😂😂😂 WOW, thank you! ❤
Where can you find these? I was treated to fire roasted Korean Sweet Potatoes one 4th of July at a campsite in Southern California by some Korean Carpenters and their wives. Only one of them spoke English but they were very cordial. Best potatoes I have ever had.
they are the best!!!! it depends where you live, I'm in VA and they are always available at asian grocery stores (h-mart, lotte, grandmart, great wall, etc.) recently, they started to sell these roasted now at h-mart by me, they roast it there and you can walk out with freshly roasted sweet potatoes!! next best guess are Spanish grocery stores 😄

Nice work!!! You have so many slips that you could keep them in a pot in dirt in your house all winter and just eat the leaves. I'm doing that now. In spring, once the soil temperatures are warm enough, I'll transplant them outside and see if they grow the tubers.
thanks! that's a great tip! I didn't even think to do that, I should look up ways to cook it for next season too 😄

I grew up luffa one year in my backyard, i live outside of Philadelphia. They grew great. Problem was, they need a longer growing season to mature into a luffa. You can eat the young plants but I actually wanted to grow and use the luffa. If I was to grow them again, i would start the seeds inside maybe in December. They would be pretty established when I transplanted them but maybe the extra time would give them the time to mature. What do you think? Would it be worth the garden space?
what grow zone are you? I'm 7a and previous years, I grew bottle gourds by privacy fence (in the snow) and they all harden. was your luffa protected or out in the open? what happened to it? did it get slushy? starting it early sounds good, I wished I did that. yes! I love growing luffa! check out my full video, they are sooo prolific, I have it growing by my shed and fence to extend growing season, I might leave some young one out to see if it will harden
@ I’m in zone 6. I never thought I could let it keep growing but now the winter. We had picked them all just before the frost and snow. They did not do well on a shelf. They slowly rotted. This year has been crazy but I didn’t grow any. I had to leave town for a wedding and I had to plant my garlic before I left. I normally planted it in November when It starts getting cold. I left on 6 November and we still had not gotten a frost. I think it was too warm. Like I said, crazy weather. But, back to luffa, i will be starting some plants in January. Well, starting the seeds.
@@carlameaders4352 yes, weather has been crazy! I'm wishing my zone gets bumped up to an 8 though, lol. I wonder if after a certain point of maturity, they will continue to mature off the vine, I saw Robin (youtuber) video and she stored her zucchini indoors and it kept maturing to the point that she had seeds... I tried it with store brought zucchini and it rotted 😅
also, I couldn't figure out how to get rid of filter 😂 but it is kinda what it looks like, lol

Thanks for the vid and info
I appreciate that! thanks for commenting to let me know, makes me happy to know there are others that are into growing from seed 😁
I have never attempted to graft.
yeah, me either, until now because I want to get the cooler atemoya varieties. I'm thinking of practicing on my hydrangeas, they're easy to root, so maybe easy to merge with other plants 😂
I also grew papayas from seeds. I had a lot of success, and got a lot of papayas withing a year. Unfortunately, the papaya trees are so susceptible to frost damage. So the papaya trees I had from 3 years ago died this year. I have younger papayas that are also producing now, but I they (and their fruit) get frost damage even at around 37 or 38 degrees.
that's so cool! if you have time, you should do a video on all the one-year-to fruit- plants you've done!

Mine have full sun, they were planted decades ago and have produced many years, but the last two years even though I’ve been cutting them back and adding fertilizer. The figs have been small and not getting ripe. I need help fast.
interesting, that sucks! your issue has many variables, so hard to say, but check out this post.... and I would take cuttings of your fig tree as backup www.lsuagcenter.com/profiles/rbogren/articles/page1597952870939 you can also try an online forum where you can share pic, like reddit and see what others' experiences are... good luck!!

I never knew how lovely they were before harvest ❤ Will Like and will subscribe. (how are you pronouncing 'artichoke'?) You're not saying the T - -
thank you!! ...you're thinking of "Allium hollandicum/which I think is commonly refer to as alliums) I actually just looked up artichoke because I was curious of its family and interestingly enough, it's part of the daisy family 🤨 these are actually pass harvesting (though I never tried it at this stage), i'm planning to collect seeds from these as well. haha, you're right! I never noticed it before. I think I just skip the -ti- entirely, thanks for pointing that out! 😄❤️❤️❤️

It's really e-z, I do it, & in less than an inch of water!😂 Rosemary roots this way, in less than 2 weeks..
nice! I used to fall into the group, where we just have rot instead of roots 😂 what level of maturity do you use (green stem, semi-woody, woody?) I've only done rosemary in coco coir with rooting hormone 😅 had a lot of success.
Want to avoid mosquitoes? Mix rosemary in for cuttings!😉

I found that once it bolts, it’s pretty much done. Even after pruning off the parts that have started to flower I find they plant doesn’t really grow or produce new leaves for me! Very aggravating
besides weather factors that may cause it to bolt again, have you tried a hard prune? for me, I also notice they like semi-shade and have been able to harvest all summer long

When Basil shows flowers the leaves will be more bitter as the plant is and needs to be trimmed of its leaves for useage. It will also do this “bolting” as the season changes; you can re root them stalks or let the plant fully bolt to get seeds again for free 👍🏼
Thanks! I also use basil with flowers as a cut flower and rubbing the leaves is cherry on top! the smell!!!!!!
Thanks for the solution
