Yeah, coconut takes a bit of practice to get used to how the discs react, but once you get the hang of it beating the level is pretty straightforward. For orange, do you mean the rng manip? Or just restarting and hoping?

@@hahhah42speedruns I meant just resetting orange until the silver disk is in a good angle which can take some time - .-

@@smellyfishstiks Ah, that's what I thought. The rng manip is pretty crude-whenever you reset the cart, you reset the game's seed. After that, the layout you get is determined by how long it takes you to enter the level. So if you hold down the button/key from the time you died, you'll always get the same layout (same time to entry). Instead of resetting until you get a good angle on your first entry, you need to check the repeatable layout to see if you get a good fast disc. Then you can repeat the good layout as many times as it takes! That's the strat I use to beat orange.

This is actually the hardest level by a fairly wide margin-I've only beaten it 5 times!

@@hahhah42speedruns That makes sense this one in particular looked like the hardest out of the 6 Levels I watched.

What's even more amazing is that the new pb I got was almost 40 seconds slower than this :p

Yeah, it was an interesting session. A bunch of golds in tough sections, undone by big time losses elsewhere. But now I've got an actual pb to get to uploading :D

Thanks :) You did a good job of that for a blind first playthrough, I remember it took me over 90 minutes. This was a fun game to route, figuring out how to max out speed as early as possible while still opening up the deeper areas.

Still waiting to see a 52, which shouldn't be too outlandish (30 -> 52); I get 22 second middle sections a few times per session on the good days. 30s have been a bit less common, but I hope to get them more regularly soon. Also youtube didn't give me a notification for this comment for some reason, so I only saw it now...

I had a couple of 1:25 runs completed, but the dropped frames returned. So I decided to end it, hoping I'll be able to do something to reduce those in the next stream.

@@hahhah42speedruns that's pretty cool for such a short session. Too bad I thought I'd have something to watch at work. so all I have to do is watch the vod from your Mania+ run
