Rose tinted glasses all round, we lack talent as a team, we cant really pass and dont have many intelligent players, we have players that panic and do silly stuff. Bellegarde is crap, he plays Sarabia cos he’s the only one with the brains to get in shooting positions. Ait Nouri is overhyped, he is very lazy, he let the cross come in for their disallowed goal.

With the wingers we have at wolves we should be supplying Larson with two or 3 good chances per game not expecting him to poke around for scraps, He would score a shitload of goals with the right service! Andre Incredible player destined for bigger things but 100% agree it was a financial signing. If they’d kept Hugo bueno we could have played a 433 with Andre another decision by the muppets In charge! This squad at least is a mid table side we are throwing away point after point with poor defensive decisions.

The most successful manager in a generation was dumped without explanation. An absolute criminal decision.

A better manager has us around mid table Shi has no interest in the club and knows nothing about football firing Nuno says everything you need to know ow about the man

Great show both just hope we can turn this around this season whoever is in charge of the club as two clubs have survived the premier league been on the same points as us being Newcastle & Everton

Nocky is BANG ON re GON….. His Pressers are ABYSMAL, He’s incredibly naive in his communication. I “think” he’s an honest man but too honest at times, nobody wants to hear negativity, you’ve got to INSPIRE as a manager (not bury your head in the iPad as Coach). I think other than the quality of football which is more often than not turgid (1st halves in particular) this is what’s finally done it for me, he lacks credibility, that’s infecting the players. We need a stronger guy who can inspire them. +1 on Dalrymple, I’ve stated this many a time and raised the lack of PR/Comms since his departure with SHI only to get a pretty shitty response.

  • @Midland_Wolf_71
    @Midland_Wolf_71 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

We have NO identity, NO direction, NO shape, Little belief and he STILL doesn’t know/have a defined best 11. Defending doesn’t seem to be a thing for GON and yet should be the foundation of any team (check Nuno at Forest doing Nuno things). Nah, I’ve backed him up to now but NO MORE, he’s gotta go….. they’re running around like headless chickens to a degree, I don’t think they believe in whatever “style” they’re being asked to play, he’s lost the fans (including me and I’m overly loyal). We’re going backwards at a rate of knots and GON isn’t even getting 50-60% out of the talented squad he has. It’s on SHI/Hobbs for me ultimately though, SHI has been cheapskate gambling with PL survival and trying to bank a few kids for the future as opposed to having a game ready PL team that can compete NOW. I want SHI removed, we need someone with an understanding of the game, that man’s a fool.

We have 11 more than capable players yet they can't play as a team, there never seems to be a game plan, if we score first just sit back and hope for the best

  • @engespress

I agree with Ryan's POV about Sarabia. It's a good point about fans making a scapegoat of certain players. Ryan often brings up points that make me think. He doesn't just follow the crowd.

I see no reason based on how we are playing now why we cannot finish last 28 games as W9, D9, L10 given fixtures and even luck which would give us 39 points - not what I was hoping for at start of season but enough to keep us up

horses for courses Ryan says, I could not agree more! Formation is changeable, and although I hear what Mr Doomsday has to say vis-a-vis entertainment, we need to stabilize first. Brentford aside we have been in it, now comes the test, but lets go forward together. It is vital we stay united.

🤣 dellusional comments about no pace and midfield. Did you see the stats? Clearly not. Damsgaard stats in particular - got into every team of the week easily. Did you see the class passes to one of the fastest players in the league - Schade? Seems like you did. Comedy gold. BTW we lost another 5 players you didn't seem to know about, including Thiago our Toney replacement, so yeah we weren't anywhere near as strong as we could be.

We made Collins look world class my opinions is we have two midfielders playing full back we have a centre back in Dawson whose best days are probably behind him we have 3 yes 3 erratic goalkeepers put this together with a nervous toti then how could anybody think we’re not going to concede ridiculous goals the best midfielder at the club Doyle cannot get a snifff we’ve got a six foot four striker who never gets a cross-in this game he scored from one ! also we have a coach who cannot adopt another strategy mid game lemina is out of form and just seems to get in the way with the role the coach has given him at Brentford we were 4-2 behind at half time so he sends the same team out and then brings on wang whose so out of form he’s unrecognisable

International players should have enough about them to sort it out themselves on the pitch even if the manager is inept. The number of individual errors made by our players this season is criminal. They have cost us big style. Our captain, good player as he is, has cost us 3 goals himself in the past two games. Come on players, SHAPE UP.

Last season we laughed at Nathan Collins and Brentford. You have to admire them, small budget, devastated by injuries but never give in. Could easily have been double figures. And to make matters worse, there fans are really friendly.

Great conversation lads. I’ve been saying the same thing, it’s the lapses in concentration that have killed us. Both the Newcastle goals, and the recency of the Liverpool goal, its fundamental errors. If we cut out these errors we give ourselves a chance. The Jeff Shi interview was a contradictory mess. Matt Hobbs made himself look a complete numpty when talking about psr and the centre back situation. The club made some terrible decisions with the signings of Fabio, Cutrone etc. how about some accountability.

Great podcast, but why does Ben continue to perpetuate the myth that Lopetegui 'repeatedly said the squad would go down' when he never mentioned relegation, just that the premier League is very tough and we needed more to compete.... which we did, since our results massively dropped off after a few injuries leaving us 15th on points earned excluding deductions for other clubs.

I’m starting to be concerned about the managers comment and attitude it’s almost as if he’s not responsible for the players on the pitch and he offers very little in the way of proactive substitutions or being able to adjust on field tactics……
