Yeah I like the way that we never even tried to get into same lobby and then there you were. I also think that if it wasn't for that spin we would have had an amazing race.
This race car is clearly not for every wannabe racer. You can see it by the amount of racers that can't keep their car inside the track limits! :D 22 laps of endurance race is a really long race! Hard to race for so long without committing mistakes, especially with this car that tends to spin if you're not gentle enough on the accelerator! :P Although starting from last you always seemed to be faster and more effective than the rest so no wonder you managed to climb your way to the top, that's some great driving with a difficult car! 😊 Great race and well deserved victory! 🎉
Thanks Mokka, It felt good to finally win a race and especially in a car I had very little time to practice in ,hence why no qualify lap. The way that the nations cup works is after the last round (round 6) your two lowest point scores are discarded and your best 4 are tallied up for your final score. Even though I won this the points were in the bottom 2 so I had nothing to lose by trying the next and final time slot, which I did. That one should be live anytime now and is a more entertaining race.
Watching this with a mate, bbq and drinks flowing. So good! Well done!

Interesting fight beween you and the dirty driver that made your car spin and lose control! 🙂 In my opinion, he couldn't handle your attempts to overtake him, so he just took the easy (and dirty) solution: remove you from the race... 😡 I bet he was extremely nervous when he saw you again right behind (he did drive like someone nervous), he must have thought you were there for payback... He even tried to put you off track once again but he committed a mistake and lost his position over a well deserved penalty! 🙂 Really glad to see him desperately trying to regain his position... and failing miserably! 😄 We were 4th and suddenly switched to 2nd just before crossing the finish line... What happened? Great 2nd place on a great race (best one so far, in my opinion), on a great track and with a great Gr.1 car! Congrats again! 🥳 This Mazda 787B is very good, I even used its engine on an engine swap with a... Mazda3! Can you imagine a Mazda 3 with a rotary engine from a Gr.1 race car, with 989 BHP and doing 250 mph? I can only say the result is impressive and... it works! 😃
Hi Mokka, yes dirty driver got what he deserved. I went to 2nd over the line because the 2 drivers in front both had penalties which they must have picked up on the last lap. Normally you would serve those time penalties in the yellow flag zones but as it was the last lap they get time added to their final race times, you can see on the scoreboard at the end the ones with a red 1.00 penalty. If it wasn't for the spin I think I would have won the race comfortably. After the race I messaged the dirty driver and he just gave me abuse about being sick of people ramming him off so he rammed me off. On lap 2 I think you can see I went into the back of him purely accidental he braked way too much at the bus top chicane but he didn't lose any time in fact I punted him past the 4th placed driver into 3rd plus I lifted off the accelerator as to not gain any advantage. That Mazda engine swap sounds like fun! My final race is on Saturday driving the red bull at Spa should be fun.
Also after spinning me he hit the tyre wall on the inside of corner 1 as seen here I laughed my arse off when I saw that in the replay. th-cam.com/video/jbKKSFOiUvk/w-d-xo.html
@@minners71Yeah, I suspected this may have been a penalty applied to the 2nd and 3rd at the end of the race. Well, if they had a penalty then it means they cheated in the last lap to maintain their positions, so your 2nd place is only fair! ;)
@@minners71I saw your short video about your dirty racer. Hitting that particular wall only happens to noobs, so that says a lot about his driving! :D I only hit that wall in the first races I made in Daytona, when I didn't know the circuit well enough. Experienced racers don't do that! :D

Yeah definitely one of my fav cars and "I" didn't spin the other driver cut right across me, he did msg me and apologise though so that was quite nice of him.

@@bloodsport326 Yeah I was pretty pissed at the time. The Toyota race was fun that car was pretty enjoyable to throw around the corners. Mine is now uploaded, I think I need to stop being so nice to my fellow racers, lol.
Great race! From 14th to 3rd, that's some recovery! :) Some intense fights along the way and a nice 3rd position just before the chequered flag, this was fun to watch! Keep up the good work! :)
Cheers, yes it was a very fun race to take part in. Very happy to see 3rd pick up a penalty ;) The next round looks very hard the legend Porsche at a reverse track, not looking forward to that one.

Congrats on your pole position! 🎉 Hard to keep first position, when you have a fast racer behind your back, putting constant pressure and just waiting for any mistake to overtake you... You keep one eye on the road ahead and the other on the guy behind you, that's a lot of pressure! :P Anyway, nice race, 2nd is already very good at this level! :) I really like this F1 from the 60's, glad they made a qualifying race with it! :)
Thanks Mokka, I was on cloud 9 after this race. Sitting there after qualifying in pole and watching the other racers for the last few minutes improving their times was pretty nerve racking. I was gutted at that penalty but glad I didn't throw it all away. Here's to the next one.
Starting from last, especially with the wrong car, is always a pain in online races... But, you conquered 6 positions in 10 long laps, that's a good thing! :) Is your final position enough to get you going to the next phase?... After all, you were the best in your region! :)
Hey Mokka, yes next round is at Watkins Glen long course with everyone driving the Honda RA272 should be fun. I considered every GT1 that I beat a personal victory. Still my race wasn't as bad as THEEVILONE (think he was called that) He got rammed off at the first chicane you can just see him from my point of view on lap 1, poor guy. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment still need to catch up on a couple of your videos.

Good race, rising up the ranks with a cool collected racing. Got a little close for some extra reward there at the end but the guy in-frond kept his cool so good for him. He had a faster car though so that helped him.
Thanks for the comment. Yeah my car the Alfa 155 isn't the fastest car on the grid but better than joining the sheep in the Citroen, managed a 3rd and a 2nd this week.
Damn! Lost you cool there at the last lap of the race after doing so good. It seems you were worrying too much about the guy behind when you shouldn't because he wasn't really fast enough and you will have had it if you just kept it on the road. Loved the car though. Everyone driving with those modern Gt cars and you going with that old Alfa was cool making you stand out.

That's a really nice car! That Alfa Romeo is my favourite Gr.4 car! It put me in 4th at the end of a Daily Race on Dragon Trail. But this Laguna track is much more difficult... :P

Congratulations on another clean race (not bumpy like mine) with another great result! :) I see from your footage there's a considerable difference between playing at dawn (as I did) and playing at dusk (as you did)... The dusk effects add another level of difficulty to the race, as you get too much contrast between the bright areas (too bright) and the dark areas (too dark) of the scenario... On top of that, you have the sunlight right in your eyes in some parts of the circuit, so I hope you used sunglasses while driving! :D I didn't have any of that, as the brightness is overall less intense at dawn, with no contrasts between bright and dark, which means you had much less visibility than me, so well done! :) Funny to see you were overtaken by surprise at the end of the long straight section, exactly as it happened to me when I was slowing down for the very tight curve ahead... The only difference is the guy in my race bumped into me and lost control (luckily for me, but he deserved it), while the guy in your race actually made it to the first place! :P Nice one, giving him the appropriate response as soon as you had open road ahead of you and always keeping him behind until the end of the final lap! :)
Think you said you struggled on this race but apart from the lead guy it looked like a breeze. You pipped Mokka on time too. This must be one of the best cars to drive in the game.
