I am getting laser on my face next week. I was going to get my whole face and neck done, but I don't want to look like a "boy" so I will grow a goatee and get rest of my face done. I don't grow a goatee to often so this is a good compromise. Shaving will still be very fast. I would never try to grow a full bead anyway, since my side cheek hair grows in fairly thin and patchy, looks ratty anyway so no harm getting rid of it. Read more

You're lying straight through your teeth. I've gotten laser before and still get laser, and it is painful. You're not fooling anyone with what you say. First of all, it is NOT a pinching sensation. Take a rubber band light it on fire and let it hit your face. That's what it feels like. You return home with a swollen red face. Its awful. But when the hairs start shedding and falling out, you are left with smooth baby soft skin.

I work at a laser hair removal office. The price varies from office to office. Some places do package deals, but you pay the money up front and you might not need as many treatments as they are signing you up for. The average person requires 4-8 treatments. I needed seven treatments for my upper lip and under arms, although my legs will require more as well as my bikini. Things to make sure of: Do not wax up to 4 weeks prior to your first laser hair removal treatment because the laser will not detect hair that is not there. Make sure the lasers your technicians are using is a laser designed JUST FOR laser hair removal. I use the Diode Laser which is only for LHR and is 96% effective in removing the hair. IPL, Alexandrite, and ND:YAG lasers range from being 10%-80% effective in removing hair. Those lasers are multi-functional lasers that decrease in removing hair with all the other things they do (toe fungus, skin lightening, etc.) DO NOT take antibiotics during laser treatment as they are light sensitive medications and the laser is a light. Lastly, the laser will only detect melanin which is what makes your hair dark. So, blonde, red, white, and grey hair will not be detected by the laser.
