That red orb is an abomination to the game! The game's name is Heroes of Might & Magic, I deem that it's normal to have both might and magic mixed in (most) battles 😋 Once in a while, an encounter to the red orb is enough - no more pls 🤣

@laurapeterson146 The truth is might is more important and powerful in that game than magic. Mostly cause you are only allowed to cast one spell per turn so a lot of times its hard to truly used full magic potential, especialy against experienced opponent. If you achieved certain level of magic tricks to just buff your own army and counter most annoying opponent tricks its enough and army do the rest. Relying on magic is also a much less certain option due to the randomness of spells in the mage guild.

@@VER01897 Right. Playing pvp would be obviously hard especially against experience players. Also, in HotA, we can (kinda) choose spells in the mage guild so it's more convenient for that last point.

Well they fit the name of the town so the game designers did a good job. I'm a developer so I focus more on how well a person does their job 😁 - IMO, designers did an excellent job on the units.

hello, I was hoping you could help me, I followed the instructions on TH-cam, I recorded it and everything works, I just have one problem, when I put the resolution 1980x1200 as it is on my screen when I turn it on, the graphics are good, but the problem is the image that is only in the center of the screen and it's small, and at a lower resolution, the image is full screen, but the graphics are bad, how can I fix it, I have the steam version, there are nice graphics, I'd like it to be like there? thanks for help and happy new year!

@@radoslavdudasev8967 Don't use that version on Steam - it's missing a ton of expansions. I told you in my previous reply: please just follow my instructions in the "set up procedure" video. Basically, download the version named "Heroes 3 Complete" from whichever place that has it (Gog, Epic games store) and use that. It'll work.

Not sure because this was played quite a long time ago. *Mostly*, my principle in this "finishing stage" of battles is to leave the spellcasting to the end of the turn because we might still need to Blind the enemy unit back after it wakes up (from our attack). So if we cast Frenzy, then attack, then the enemy unit wakes up and still alive afterwards, then it's their turn and the enemy hero might cast something disadvantageous to us. However, I remember reading somewhere there's a way to make Frenzy last 2 turns. That can be utilized, but I'm too lazy to research into that now. Simplicity is good: just do one batch of things at a time (first reduce their defense, then finish them) and we don't have to think too much.

Old or new game, it's no difference. You just need to use a program called OBS Studio to record the whole display screen. People usually use it while doing both tutorials and gameplays :) For how to use it, please just google search (or even search here on youtube), there are a plethora of guides on that.

Well with a matching number of Dread Knights too, of course. And if you meant to ask why there are so many level 7 units, this is edited in the map editor for demonstration purpose. Most of my videos do not involve editing in the map editor; but there are a few exceptions for demo purpose.
