I love how the only time he willingly drops the facade is after Sora and Riku defeat him in the third game. By that point, the clash between the 7 Lights and 13 Darknesses has already begun, and Xehanort is 100% opening Kingdom Hearts. After thousands of years of faking, there's no point in faking. Dude is tired as fuck and just happy he got the job done.

I wanna know how Luxu extends his life. Does he find someone to be his vessel like Xehanort, or does he intentionally separate his heart from his body and grow a new one repeatedly?

Makes me think, since the MoM didn't give Luxu a book to prevent any temporal paradoxes... did Luxu stick to his role after all this time, or at some point did he decide to do something on his own? Or just winging it? Just thinking out loud, would like to hear anyone's theories.

6:30 I think this scene speaks more than just that Xigbar/Luxu is afraid of what he's hearing. According to him, Sora shouldn't be as powerful as he is because the Keyblade didn't choose him, he was just the Keyblade's backup plan when Riku was tainted by darkness. But the connections that Sora has made make him stronger than Xibar/Luxu could imagine. Xigbar/Luxu is a man who has lived for well over a century, and was the apprentice of the guy who literally wrote the book on hearts, keyblades, and the worlds themselves. To Xigbar/Luxu, Sora is a complete anomaly, someone who just should not exist. And it speaks volumes to Sora's pure nature that his very existence is able to throw him through a loop like that.

The best part of the dlc was the yozora boss fight.

I always find it funny everyone from Sora's party think Xigbar is unworthy of the keyblade while Xehanort is busy using MoM's keyblade that was handed down to Luxu.

Xigbar is my favorite Org member wven beating Xemnas who has the best bossfight in KH history in my opinion. The reveal of him being luxu made him even more exciting to me wvwn though it can be seen as a after thought and wasnt even planned from the beginning. But it made in a retrospective view the scene in BBS kinda funny as Xehanort holds the Keyblade to his neck that technically is Xigbar/Luxu keyblade.

I am tired of your ad and I love nearly all KH games, even KH3 when it first launched. What so all the critics were automatically wrong Back then and you and a few others are correct? Look Remind was a huge improvement. But we clearly see the problem with Square trying to make every game this huge thing that takes 5 years or more to make, it affected KH3 but it wasn't so bad that it was mediocre. Compare it to other action JRPGs at the time, stop it with the nostalgia goggles as much as KH1 and KH2 are so good.

it's just crazy that at the time of all these scenes nobody thought anything of it until we got Luxu plot drop then everyone was like hold up did these mean something actually?

Just musing here: The Master of Masters put his eye in No Name, right? Do we know of any other character in the series who is missing an eye? Then again, the eye is blue... Everyone has blue eyes in KH: Riku, Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Axel, Naminé... except for Braig who had brown eyes.

At this point every plot element is gaslighting the player, implying there is a deep story, when in reality it only will lead, in the end, to another dude in the same black hooded robe like the 20+ before him. There is no intricate thoughts or a plan, just the attempt to make it look like that before they contradict themselves again or make it more convoluted with no in game character ever questioning how any of this is remotely possible. Kingdom Hearts has become the Riverdale of gaming.

You definitely missed his biggest tell to the audience, the utterance of "May your heart be your guiding key." Aqua notes in 0.2 that the phrase is ancient and has long fallen out of use, and Mickey tells her that he heard it from Yen Sid, who we have no feasible fix on the age of, but if he knows it, and repeats it often, then it had to have still been in favor as late as Scala ad Caelum's height. Xigbar's use of the phrase is a dead giveaway that his knowledge of the Age of Fairytales goes beyond just knowing about the Keyblade War.

Replaying KH3 on Steam, I never had the Remind DLC on Xbox so I don't know if that's part of the DLC or always been there but Luxu says after you Mount Olympus, he says, "Let your heart be your guiding key"

Wait a second i just realize. Luxu always sees the same face when he looks at Sora and his counterparts. What face does he see ? "Who" always looked at him like that when angry ? Who is relevant enough for Luxu that said face is that relevant and memorable for him ? What if Sora really is the reincarnation of the Master of Masters ? Luxu is the only one who knows his face after all. And everything Luxu did leads back to Sora. The whole "face thing" seems like foreshadowing. Sora must be someone Luxu knows very well.

Hot take here, i don't think any of these aside from KH3 are Luxu revealing himself. I think for the most part it's Xigbar/Braig being Xigbar/Braig. I think this is another one of those things Nomura pulled out from between his butt cheeks

Throughout KH II and Dream Drop, Xigbar always gave me a weird feeling. Like he knew way more than he was letting on. And I don’t mean just about the big bad’s plans. He always felt… out of place in a way. Like he knew something nobody else did. Now we know what that was.

With how many weird scenes Xigbar had I am suprised no one thought he was acting strange until it was revealed he was Luxu. Especially in KH3 when he said he is worthy of a keyblade and in the other games when he talks about how Ventus and Sora respectively already have the look of keyblade wielders. Pretty strange things to say when he apparently doesn't have a keyblade

"this man revealed himself" re kh2 scene - bologna. he was obviously taunting Sora by referencing Roxas, like every other org member had. I don't believe for a moment that Luxu, the Foretellers, or the Master of Master were even a twinkle in Nomura's eye when that scene was written.
