Doomswell is the best
Hopefully you guys are still answering questions....I ride behind a '19 Supreme ZS232 with 650 in lead over stock. It's a killer wave! Better than some not as good as others. So that said, I'm riding a Doomswell Bandwagon and a Soulcraft Keena Flegel. I'm a novice intermediate. Starting to get airs and ride away from 3's 40% of the time. So I'm 5'9" 205. I ride with two of the stock fins on the Doomswell 4'8" and all four on the SC. I want to try new fins and am seeing the F4 Blackstix are for riders 105-155 lbs. Do I need the F6? Thanks for the info on the video! There's a ton of good info!
Don’t look at the futures site and base your sizing off of their sizing. They are geared towards ocean dynamics. Wave are bigger so you need more fin. For the black stix, I would go with the xtra small. I would also recommend our new X4 fin. Great drive, upright rake and less surface area to make spinning easier. 😉

I love this board, but for the life of me I can't do 360s. I only use the big fins supplied, but once I turn 90 degrees the fins catch and I fall backwards.
Are you riding the X4’s?
I've owned one for a few years now. I have friends who won't ride any other board but the jefe. I have to force them to try anything else and they never have as much fun. We never ever leave the jefe home.

What size rider is the Doomswell Bandwagon 5'-2" made for?
We don’t make the Bandwagon in 5’2 and it’s also been discontinued for 2021. We make the 5’2 in the Neo and Nubstep.

Its like an Ollie motion yes. Just remember not to swing wide before an air. Its going to kill your speed.
Are fin box fillers important? I ride a twin setup and have the holes open in the other two fin spots. One would think that having a recessed cavity gives potential for drag to be built up in those spots?
Victor Poliashov we get this asked a lot. I have never personally ever used them because they have never affected the performance of the ride.
Should I learn to air using a rope first?
No. Holding the rope longer never gets you into your natural surf position. You are relying on a false sense of security. Drop the rose as soon as you can to get into your natural surf stance then you can start to air.
Over eight minutes in and still nothing about boating etiquette with regards to the others sharing the water with you.

I feel like my wave is big but I have nothing to compare to because I've never ridden another boat. Soooo... I still don't know what fins are best for me. I have a supreme s238 with lead, upgraded bags and all that good stuff.

@@DoomswellBoardingCo not at all. Hard to hang 5 on the jefe for more than a few seconds because I shoot to the boat so fast. I have to drag my hand hard to buy time. :)
Mike Fas i have to do the same thing. Have you tried riding it as a single fin?
@@DoomswellBoardingCo I have tried the jefe as a single, yes. It's a little slower but I still need to drag a 🖐️. The single fin isn't as much fun for us. It rips with 2 fins. We have days where we have 3 guys all riding just the jefe. It just takes over and no one rides anything else. It's a new level of fun. I've ridden it with both of my kids.

What about dents under the eva traction pad? Is that an issue? How easy is it to detect whether your board is takeing on water under the pad? Also, I've read that wax isn't an ecological solution in so far that it will have a tendancy to come off in the water and deposit itself on the subaquatic environment (ie. coral reefs etc). This last point becomes a significant issue in places with alot of surfers. Thx
Heel dents are going to happen over time due to the foundation on which we are building on. Its a 2# EPS foam that will give under the right amount of pressure. Typically nothing to worry about. Go check out any pro surfers board. Dents all over the place. I can't speak much about the ecological effects of wax as I've never done any research on it. This was a video to tell people the difference between wax and traction.
Wax isn't entirely eco-friendly, but people who have traction pads still use wax. You still need wax in the front where your front foot is going to be.
