    I like Jimmy and I liked Ron. Jimmy has on libertarian economists and socialists. He'll entertain all sides in opposition to the establishment, sometimes to my chagrin. There was a time when radio stations like KPFK / Pacifica had on the right: the Caspar Weinberger show for instance. It was a time when the Left was more confident. At the end of the day, Jimmy's hate of the establishment is real.

JESUS was TRANSGENDER 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️, a female man returning as a female woman in a lesbian relationship with a male woman. Ron showed courage in making a difficult career decision and openly discussing it. Ron was a great part of the show. I have been a fan of TJDS for a long while back when it was Aggressive Progressives. I honestly do not think the show changed all that much TBH. If the fracture was in part around the vax and Covid, well, I think Jimmy, Stef & Kurt have handled it very well. So, bummer but I respectfully don’t see what you are sharing. I don’t agree with TJDS on everything but criticizing the Democrats and it’s corruption of mandates is necessary. I will spare my comments regarding Jordan Chairiton.

    • @TheHumanHappyHour
      @TheHumanHappyHour 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I appreciate your long-term support of TJDS, but I think you've missed some crucial points from our conversation with Ron. This isn't just about specific issues like Covid or vax mandates. Ron discussed the show's overall direction, the loss of nuance in discourse, and the concerning tribalism in media and politics. Ron didn't 'cower' or sit on the fence. He made a principled decision to leave when he felt the show no longer aligned with his values and approach. That takes integrity and self-respect - qualities you claim to admire. As for your comment on Jordan Chariton, it's ironic you'd bring him up while praising 'integrity.' If you'd listened to the full interview, you'd understand why making baseless insinuations goes against everything we discussed about responsible media. I'd encourage you to re-listen to the episode with an open mind. You might be surprised by what you learn about critical thinking and the importance of nuance in political discourse. -Jayson

    I lost a lot of respect for Ron when Jimmy shared about his vaccine injury on a livestream with Ron. Instead of showing empathy, Ron scoffed what was said and coldly said "Well, I took the vaccine and it didn't hurt me." What a POS thing to say to a person and their lived experience that you can't even acknowledge another person's pain.

    • @TheHumanHappyHour
      @TheHumanHappyHour 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's interesting how selectively people remember things. You're focused on one moment from a livestream, ignoring the years of collaboration and friendship between Ron and Jimmy. More importantly, you're missing the larger point of our discussion. Ron's decision to leave wasn't about any single incident or disagreement. It was about the overall direction of the show and the approach to journalism and discourse. Your comment actually demonstrates part of the problem we discussed - the tendency to latch onto one perceived slight and use it to dismiss someone entirely. As for vaccine experiences, they can vary widely. Ron sharing his own experience doesn't invalidate anyone else's. It's possible to acknowledge different outcomes without turning it into a tribal war. This kind of nuanced understanding is exactly what's missing from a lot of current political discourse. Instead of holding onto grudges or perceived slights, maybe try engaging with the actual content of our discussion. You might learn something about the complexities of media, friendship, and political discourse. -Jayson

      @@TheHumanHappyHour Making an observation of Ron not having empathy over a person's shared experience over a vaccine injury Jimmy experienced isn't tribal and shows how Ron displays the attitude of many individuals who have disregarded many who have shared their personal stories of being injured by not just the Covid vaccine but many other vaccines. Quick question, with all we know now, is the Covid vaccine safe and effective? Would you still recommend anyone getting a Covid vaccine now?

      Interesting how you think you know more about Ron's decision than Ron himself. This mindset of assuming hidden motives and refusing to take people at their word is exactly what's poisoning political discourse right now. Ron was open and honest about his reasons for leaving in our interview. He doesn't need to apologize for making a career decision that aligns with his principles and vision. The fact that you're expecting an apology shows you're more interested in drama and conflict than actual substance. Your comment, with its vague insinuations, perfectly demonstrates the tribalism and lack of nuance we discussed. Instead of engaging with the actual content of our conversation, you're choosing to push a narrative that fits your preconceived notions. If you'd actually listened to the interview with an open mind, you might have learned something about the complexities of media, friendship, and political discourse. But I guess it's easier to sit back and make cryptic comments that add nothing of value to the conversation. Next time, try bringing some actual thoughts or criticisms to the table instead of playing coy. Or better yet, reflect on why you feel the need to create conflict where there isn't any. -Jayson

      He never does. I get a little out of him on the main interview. But not much. I wanted to know too.

      @@TheHumanHappyHourinteresting choice to throw your guest under the bus. What’s sad is that in spaces less toxic and gossip-centric than this one my answer would be perfectly acceptable. I’ll be writing a longer piece on the topic. Hope you’re well.

      @TheHumanHappyHour 10:14 He had voiced his political differences with Jimmy and Jimmy will not leave any room for dissent or discussion. It's the "Jimmy Dore" show not the "Let's share our different views show"... and he was there to bounce the ball back to Jimmy. That was the job description. Period. I sense that behind doors Jimmy must be a zero tolerance guy with dissent. I like Jimmy's views though and occasionally still listen to his show.
