I just passed this part of the game, and I DID NOT expect failure on that check to be THIS HORRIBLE. Kim sounds so tired and distraught. I know it's a game, but it made me sad. I can't do that to a person, especially someone who's had a tough go at life because of racists. Such a relief I passed the check,

i also got the same check fail, went outside to apologize, did the same convo but with the "you're a binoclard" option, he was the smallest bit amused, then it went down pretty much the same as in the vid with one exception, he stayed regardless of me calling him a slur. Guess i had the highest trust with kim, and i think that reflects good friendships irl. Sure, you can have lapse(s) in your behavior, but one fuck-up (mostly) cannot change the fact that if you're loyal and trust your friends, and vice versa, then they'll stick around because they know you can do better and work through the fuck-up together. It went from the most embarrassing to the most wholesome moment in my playthrough.

Honestly when I got that check I felt under pressure simply because I REALLY wanted Kim to dance. Never in a million years I’d guess the alternative to calling him to dance is CALLING HIM A SLUR????? GODDAM that will make me 10x more nervous in my subsequent play through 😭

btw if you fail that check and you have empathy lvld up pretty high, after you comfort her with that contact microphone (you need a different check as well), empathy will say something like "She appreciates your concern and will consider that you are even" meaning, she comforts you before with authority fail check

Oh my lord. I heard the repercussions for failing that check was bad but I didn’t expect it to be THAT bad. If I had failed that check I would’ve restarted at my last auto save no matter how long ago that may be. Also do you automatically fail this check in a facist run?
