Is it still guaranteed to get internship after completing a medicine qualification (MBCHB/MBBCH) and what is the process? 2. Does doing internship/community service in either tertiary, regional or district hospitals have an influence in getting a registrar post after COMSERV... if so, what advice would you give to someone who is about to do their internship/community service to look out for when choosing hospitals for comserv? 3. How hard is it to get a community service post and a job after community service (considering the fact that the government does no longer guarantee to hire medical doctors in South Africa? 4. If you would give advice to a matriculant who considers studying medicine in university is it still worth studying medicine in South Africa in terms of job security, financial wise and in terms of the opportunities that are available for medical doctors? 5. Lastly what are the challenges you faced during your time and how can one avoid or rather prepare themselves for those challenges in internship and community service? (If possible, please do a vlog whereby you give an insight on the working conditions of a doctor and how hectic it can become) I would appreciate if you can try to answer these questions Doc🙂
