Man MvC2 is such a timeless piece
Damn those look pristine
Nice Spider-Man training 👍 I approve of the team switch
As a fellow Victrix enjoyer, I fully support these purchases, haha. Those look amazing, if I ever went back to stick, that Terry one would be mine. Great video, and best of luck with everything.
does the big button in the middle drop your latency to 3 bar for the most authentic experience?
No that’s the touch pad 😂
Nice! I ordered the King one but I haven’t gotten mine yet. If they re-release them ima pick up the Lili one too.
Why do you need so many sticks tho?
i'm afraid I might have a slight obsession, i have two more and plan on building a MAS Stick for my DreamCast
@@rocketman3652nah bro it’s like swapping a pair of kicks , katana blades, or even clothes. You get to choose what weapon or flavor you wanna style with.
FACTS
@MarvelousMorrion I pre ordered a leverless. It's probably here in about a month. I'll either switch between stick and leverless. Or just use the better option.
Awesome I also have the Law one it’s great
MORE VLOGS, RELEASE THE UNBOXING
I appreciate that you just locked in instead of saying anything haha
He’s so cute when he’s excited 🥰
One of the best reactions.
yo joe chill 😂
If I were you, I would focus on... 1. Master one single simple punish combo (and) one single crouched light kick combo. (Having few and simple combos will allow you to focus on the poking and anti-air game with much more ease) 2. Go to training room: Select the [Anti-Air Practice] option a. Practice anti-air for a while and progressively add more recordings (only two of them are active in the [Replay] section, you can activate the other ones by pressing 'Y' respectively) b. Once you feel you are getting good at it, go back to the [Replay] section and notice the two last entries are not used. c. Go to the [Record] section and make the dummy do a crouched medium kick. (This will force you to consider your spacing while thinking about anti-airing) d. Once you feel you are good, go back to the [Recording] section and make the dummy do a Drive Impact on top of everything. (This will force you to practice your mental stack since you'll be looking out for a throw, a poke, a jump and a drive impact at the same time) 3. Training room: Set dummy's block to [Random] and practice the two combos mentioned above for a while. (This will practice your hit confirms as you practice your combos. This might be more important when you reach high gold/platinum) 4. Slowly add more complex combo routes to your arsenal. 5. Add shimmy to your game. For example, when the opponent is on the ground and about to wake up, walk toward him (making him believe you will either hit or throw) and then just move back at the last minute. If the opponent is doing wake up DP, you will end up blocking him and then punishing him. If the opponent throws, he will whiff and then you will be able to punish him. These are just a couple of things I did that helped me greatly. They might not be for you, but I think they are worth a try. Whether you try these out or not, I'm sure you will reach gold in no time; you clearly have the right mindset. In fact, I think that if you block just a little more on the opponent's wakeup and have a very simple punish, you might even reach platinum much more faster than you might think.
Ryu main here; I started at Silver and now I am Master. You’re doing very well dude! Some things to consider: Opponents around your rank will jump in. A lot. To counter it, start with a simple crouching heavy punch and then work on getting used to using shoryuken over time. If your opponent uses an unsafe move (sweep, special with slow recovery, etc.), try using crouching medium kick and follow up with a drive rush combo or special ender. Zangief’s wheel kick is an example. If a move is slow enough (more than 10 frame recovery), use standing heavy punch to punish. If your opponent uses a VERY unsafe move (DP, Super, etc.), and you block/evade it and are in range, use standing heavy kick. As a punish, it crumples your opponent and you can follow up with standing heavy punch into a drive rush combo or special ender. Slooowww doowwwnnn. Be patient. Around your rank, a good number opponents will be eager to wake-up super or DP. When you knock these kinds of players down, approach them then move back as they get up. They will use a wake-up special/super and you will block it. For command grab supers, perform a backdash. Relax on the DI, especially in wake-up. If you are losing neutral, do not DI because it will likely result in you receiving three hits, the opponent jumping out of the way, or the opponent DI’ing back. DI when you notice a pattern that can result in a punish, or when you can cancel a nice string into one while having your opponent in the corner. Regardless, do not use it too much. This was actually one of my worst habits so you are not alone on this one lol Again, be patient. Keep a good distance and wait for them to make a mistake. They will. You got this bro, you’re doing good from what I’ve seen so far. You just gotta watch what your opponent does, watch for their bad habits and patterns and then exploit them.
Would you like to be coached? We can take a look at your vod and help you out! I have a few players who can help you from different perspectives as well! Let me know if this interests you.
Yo bro, really like ur content its good to see some street fighter content that isnt just optimised perfect play from pros, as another ryu player that went from silver to diamond myself, the smallest and most impactful adjustment i would give to help you climb is using crouching heavy punch over dp in a lot of situations. Ur anti airs are very clean but i saw at some points you didnt have time for the input to register in ur head and a big help for that especially in these ranks is ur anti air normals, keep it up though bro you’ll be masters in no time, and if you wanted to play some sets drop a reply and we can work on some shit
Most definitely man, I appreciate that too btw, I’m always down to run sets and matches so let’s get it 👊
you seem to know what you're doing, you need to recognize player patterns. that cammy woke up every knock down
One key advice that I think will get you out of lower ranks really quick : On the opponent's wake up, bait dp. Block. Every time. Once they've shown you they are willing to block, then go for pressure. People tend to overextend a lot and not want to block at this stage of the climb. You should take advantage of that and learn a really damaging punish combo accordingly. Be patient and let them kill themselves. Also inputs are a huge debate rn on sf6 so be prepared to have them inputs drop/not come out A LOT Cheers mate, keep it up.
Putting 'patience' in the book lol I sadly get tilted very VERY easily, especially when I make simple mistakes. It can cloud my decision making very quickly lol i'm gonna look up a few safe jump combos to try out and hit the lab, much obliged, brother
I'd say some tips are to learn some Frame Data, Spacing and ease up on the Drive Impacts. Learning when to drive impact would be very good. I don't think a random DI, or waking up with one is a good idea, especially when the opponent has Oki. The fight with Zangief is an example of spacing and frame data. His big wheel kick that he did multiple times, like at 9:49, is unsafe on block. It's -8 or -12 frames so Ryu can really punish with any of his good buttons like Stand Heavy Punch, which is 10 frame start up, or Crouch medium kick, 8 frame startup, and cancel in to a drive rush combo or special move. IF HE IS CLOSE ENOUGH. If the Zangief spaces it out, he'll be too far away for you to punish him, thus making him safe. + and - in frame data means how long you or your opponent has anything can be done. That wheel kick means that you have 8 or 12 frames to act before that Zangief can do anything if you blocked it ( They can't Block, jump, attack, etc... for 8 or 12 frames). You'll know what I mean once you start learning frame data
Frame data has always seemed very daunting to learn, but I know its practically CRUCIAL if I wanna get to the next level. I'm gonna keep this all in mind and take it on a little bit at a time. Appreciate the tip, my guy
Damn, its nice to see your combo game has improved by a lot. I think you mainly just need to work on defense and you'll be really solid all around. Also I noticed you weren't using ryu's charged up fireball during the zangief match. It can help quite a bit against more passive players like them. Nice video again, I enjoyed watching.
You gotta start somewhere, keep em coming
If I’ve learned anything about the game by watching every level of play, it’s that the game is mega stressful at every level 😰
Literally😂
..."i want to think like a pro" ....also ..." we are just going in with no warm up ...no practice " the casual mind is strong in this one
Keep your head up fam. You dont get good over night. It takes time eventually the more you practice you will get better. I went from iron rank to gold rank and I am still learning.
Playing with an honest character like Ryu, he has the tools to get the Job done. If you wanna get better, I’d suggest watching guides on how to play Ryu Watch Pros play the character(I prefer Ending walker’s Ryu) Learn *fundamentals* and *Frame data!* You’ll become so much better if you learn those things. And learn your matchups too, see what Ryu can do differently vs the cast You need to also use your drive rush And Not keep yourself in burnout I might not be highly Ranked in Sf, but fundamentals carry over from other fighting games Learn everything about Ryu and you can master him in no time.
Yess!!! You are on the way to the TOP 💛💛💛🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was awesome man! I have no clue about fighting games now. I literally use to get the PlayStation demos from Pizza Hut and just play the four characters it came with on tekken. I’m so old bro. You’re really analyzing breaking down your skills, mistakes etc. Editing was great and hilarious. Keep it up man!
In games against people who play like the ken did, I think its important to slow down and just focus on dealing with the main thing theyre doing wrong. The ken player jumped way too often for example, you should be able to take rounds just waiting for that and anti airing him. Nice video keep it up.
I'm no pro player myself but I'd advise you to focus on a few things rather than everything you could hypothetically do. Anti Airs, crouching medium kicks confirms into hadoken or drive rush, sweeps to punish unsafe stuff and knowing when to throw and when not to throw fireballs should make you roll through silver and gold with ease. Excited to see where you will be going with this.
Much appreciated,my guy! This vid was after like a month of not playing, so I fell into a LOT of bad habits lol
I’m so proud ❤
I’m so proud of you. I was waiting for you to post it 😂
