Merry Go Round of Life - Clarinet Quartet
มุมมอง 1.9Kปีที่แล้ว
Proud to present our cover of 'Merry Go Round of Life' composed by Joe Hisashi as a part of 'Howl's Moving Castle'. This was a great piece to play over several months and a massive thank you to my friends at Monash, Sibu, Freya and Hugh. We have all worked so hard to bring you our version of this piece for Clarinet Quartet.

Blame it on the Boogie - Clarinet Cover
มุมมอง 246ปีที่แล้ว
Blame it on the Boogie by the Jackson Five recorded for 6 Clarinets, including Bass Clarinet! I tried to use some of the wacky motion blur effects similar to the original music video, although keeping it not too dizzy and confusing! XD Thank you all for watching.
Building a Full Sized Dalek - From Doctor Who!
มุมมอง 4.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I spent 3-4 years building a life sized Dalek from the TV Show Dr Who. This is the model from the 2005 remake series and it took many hours to complete with the help of many friends and family. Here is a quick timeline of the project, starting from a base frame (which sadly I cannot find many photos of) and finally ending with me brining the finished project to my school athletics day!

Never thought I'd make it this far!!.... Apology video coming soon ;) PS. Yes I know traditionally the correct spelling of 'Acapella' is 'A Cappella', and that 'Acapella' was just some American misspelling it, but I think this way jus...

Clarinet A Capella! I have been recorded many pieces a capella before but I have never found a reliable way to mix it all together into a split-screen video. And I'm still not sure if I have! XD This was a bit annoying to do and I'm gonna see how I go in the future. Ideally I would love to make many other videos like this! :D
MARAVILHOSOOOOO! Que perfeito! Finalmente covers de verdade para clarinete!
WELL DONE FANTASTIC TO SEE IT IN ACTION
Excelente trabajo!! Felicitaciones!!!!
Bass clari sounds legit so good. Also how in the actual hell do you hit those insane high notes
Nvm somehow read the sheet music wrong higher than it was somehow
Brilliant piece definitely will link a video if i end up recording all 4 parts together
This is a very relaxing peice
How do I get the sheet music in PDF?

Nice work, Ben.
looking sharp boss
And im feeling,,, gooooooood
Go Ben! What a fun one 😎
I’m gonna learn the first clarinet part and prove that I am not incompetent to myself. Because I always feel like I am second best. I’m gonna do it!! 🫡
how did it go? i really want to learn it as well, but anything above high c scares me lol
So far it is easier than I thought. For high notes I practiced phantom of the opera and these were a breeze. I am going off of this on my phone so it’s kinda hard but when I stop doubting myself I can do it. I can play it! It took a few months so patience is necessary.
@@ninapalacios7046 hmm that’s great to hear!! this will definitely motivate me to try and learn it, after eyeing it for about half a year.
Nice work I built my own Dalek I chose the black renegade supreme Dalek. I got the plans off of the internet and three years later Alek the Dalek was finished.
Do you have the sheet of this? It sounds great
We are following your piece sheets, but have to say the group performance is much more wonderful
Man I just love bass clarinet and especially the part in this arrangement it sounds so cool
Beautiful tone! what app or software did you use to edit the audio?
Musescore 4
Bass clarinetist here!
I have a question, why notate the triplets different between 2nd and 3rd part in measures 82 & 83?
that is a very good question.... XD
I think the duplet quaver (⅛ note) rests in the 2nd part are due to the duplet quaver (⅛ note) in the 3rd part (in bar/measure 83), so it all aligns correctly in the score. It makes no difference in bar/measure 82 as there is nothing shorter than a crotchet (¼ note) on beat 1. Incidentally. I'm from the UK, hence the UK and US note length names. I like the arrangement; it's very effective and sits nicely in the clarinet registers. Well done whoever arranged it.👍
Sorry, well done Ben. I hadn't checked who had arranged it.
Just blame it on the …
Interesting, I must say 🎠🎡🎪
Ayo.. this is brilliantly done👏 It feels just like a merry-go-round.
Fantastic! Great arrangement and lovely playing from you all - congrats, Ben! 😄
I loved that part at 1:22! Geat arrangement!
i loved every second of this!! just beautiful!
Do you have the sheet music for it😭😭

BUEN TRABAJO, mas ¿por qué en negro?
Sounds good, but had to have the volume all the way up. Very talented mate, Regards Josh
Great looking Dalek! I was especially interested in the flowboard you're using as the motorisation. Is it fixated on the inside and are you able to sit down, or do you just have to deal with being really uncomfortable in there? lol
Haha no its not locked in so not the most comfy lol. But if I ever go back to update/ change anything I plan on properly motorizing it!!
pretty quiet
Yea unfortunately I uploaded it at 20% volume and now I can't change it :(
Ta
Yooo
💃
Yes Ben!! Sounds so fun on claris 🤩
So I'm in 7th grade and me and my friend are probably going to do this for the talent show....any tips
That’s so amazing! Good luck!!! For starters here is the link: musescore.com/user/20192521/scores/9891514 And as for tips for this arrangement, I think the thing that really matters for this one is being together with your group and playing in sync, - watching each other’s breathing and breathing together really helps!
How was the talent show? :D
Ben! I had no idea you were on here - great arrangement! Really well written :) Is that for this sem or end of this year?
Hiya! Yes it is for this Sem!!! :D Coming up very sooon,... not stressed at all haha XD
@@BenHarrisClarinet Haha I'm sure you'll do great!! GL :) Certainly will be a fun one with this in it!
Well as with any anime fan, I'm a lover of anything Studio Ghibli. This is a wonderful rendition. Next you'll need to do something from Porco Rosso haha. Josh
Ah this must be that second channel you mentioned. Good music. Do you also play that guitar in the background? Josh
This is the one! And not just guitar… drums and piano too XD
also what was your discord?.. the chat got deleted when I ended the stream haha
@@BenHarrisClarinet that's cool, I have been thinking of taking up piano, I have a cousin who is a piano teacher so free lessons haha
This as cool as heck
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Where did you find the sheet music
musescore.com/user/20192521/scores/10357996 hopefully this works :D
Nice work!!
Thank you!! It very a very fun piece to record and edit haha
Hi, Very nice arrangement!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 And we'll played too...!!! Congrats!!! I wonder if you would be so kind to provide it to me...🙏🏼 I'd love to do it too...!!! Thanks

@@jeclarineto I meant I forgot to add it haha sorry! Hope you enjoy tho and good luck playing!
Yeah, I know 😅 thanks 🙏🏼
@@BenHarrisClarinet For some reason i don't see the link in the description.
Fantastic 😀
The idea to use a hoverboard for locomotion is brilliant. So much easier than the mobility scooter chassis that many people use. I have always wondered what those folks do when the scooter needs repair, but it's built-in.
"A young man and HIS Dalek" Very impressive.
so many pillows
*not enough
This is really, really impressive. I’ll be starting construction on my own soon, may use some of your ideas as a blueprint! The Christmas ball idea especially was great.
Thank you for the kind words! I made this a while ago and only thought of making a video after I’d finished. I watched tons of videos helping me whilst building it and I wished I had made the idea to make my own video during the process!!!!
@@BenHarrisClarinet Have you thought of making the Golden Emperor from the TV 21 comic strip?
@@Avengers24-sw7cv cant say I have! But that sphere dome would be KILLER to make out of fiberglass!!!
that is truly amazing, I love it😍
