Nice work! How was cost?
I love this! We made 4 bedrooms/ 2 with big walk in closets, a full bathroom, and still have 2 more unfinished access spaces for hvac units. ALL in the attic! Increased our home value over 300k 😮
I would say you can do it for 100,000 you just need to be your own GC And that's when knowing people in the trades will come in handy
Lmao but didn’t you sell all your friends and business partners out tho???? Make it make sense
$60,000. Is insane for what you just showed me. Must be New Jersey because I could get the same thing for $20,000. in Delaware. Shop around, folks.
@@davepanichelle1478 remember Labor and cost of living is drastically cheaper . My friend owns a house 4 bedroom / 2 bedroom a pool in Delaware and he pays 1600 a month … Yes doing any construction job in Delaware is cheaper than NJ and Metro areas
So I recently saw an ADU in California built for 150k and this small space is nearly 50% of the cost? What’s the disparity in not seeing?
I am a civil enginner how can i get such job in usa?

What stain type/color was used on the columns?
Great video. I am in Edison. I am adding a 234 sq addition kitchen over my patio. I am currently working with an architech. I am being told that for the shell and sheetrock I will pay around $60,000. Thats for nothing inside the room. I will have to contact you when I have my plans done hopefull in February. It's gooing over the patio, which I have a concrete slab.
"This product is definitely fire" Well that was a hell of a prediction!
Bruh , never trust a man whos tootightpants dont cover his ankles and wears slippers
Anyone that pays that price for that literally deserve what they get
Do we need to add more support for the structure below the first floor?
My installer just told me there was no way to know ahead of installation that the siding would be wavy down one wall and that I have to pay to pull it off and fix it. Is this normal?
Sold out all his people for crimes they all committed to cop out a deal for himself this is sleezebag
Bro change the title unless you wanna mislead people

I was told by a GC that building up costs more than extending the house in Sacramento, California
Same GE told that too! I asked him why, he said because the house will need to demo flooring and add reinforcements beams, maybe reinforcement the foundation, so much other things too! So yes it will cost much more adding on top for sure! This guy never done second floor as an ADU
Roof install, no eave drip?
What was the cost of the renovation ?
90k to 100k🎉
Awesome info!!

I'm about to use pvc trim to trim around my tile countertops, Cortex doesn't make screws and plugs less than about 2.5" so I bought some trim screws in #8 1.5" with heads slightly less than 1/4". I plan to cut my own pvc 1/4" plugs, it is just theory that this should work but I wish Cortex made them shorter for interior work. Yes, I've watched the part of using the pvc eraser for recessed nails but I want to and need to use screws (at least right now I'm convinced so). The reason I don't want to use 2.5" length screws is that my countertops are porcelain and if the screw strayed off course it could get shattered (big time trouble).

I’m guessing that this project could be done much cheaper if no plumbing or bathroom were installed. I have a large unfinished attic that is well-lit with five windows. The house (a two-story bungalow) was built in the 1950s; however, the attic was never finished (it has great headroom and all). Personally, I’d like to turn it into a large bedroom with a walk-in closet and perhaps add a small sitting room or office. I am not an electrician or HVAC specialist, but I’d be willing to hire someone for those tasks while I handle the insulation and drywalling.
I assume the family would need to move out and rent somewhere else during the project, which would have associated costs as well. They changed our bylaw to allow a third floor, I can't imagine being able to complete a project of that scale with us and our things inside the house. Most people are doing tear downs but I like the old floorplan which would no longer be allowed in a new plan. Stuff like 2nd floor kitchens are now banned, so modifying the old house to keep that seems preferable.
@@sluggo562 well said … people need to move stone so they are not stressed with the construction phase
What is the price of the product?
We are contemplating going to a solar roof on our building. (American legion in Northern NJ) building next year. What warranty does GAF and you give on the Shingles and Workmanship? Do they go over the existing roof shingles?
@@edwardkorek9189 they have remove alll the existing roof shingles and install New GaF Solar Shingle System . It comes with a GAF Solar Pledge warranty which with is higher warranty, go to gaf.com
They are the shingle, and come with a custom HDZ shingle(wider than standard HDZ) to match the width of the solar shingle. Allowing an aesthetic flow to your new solar roof. 25yr for manufacturers defects, 25yr for Solar output, 15yr Blow-off/Wind Damage. Go for it!
Would it be better and more cost effective to attach a 2-story structure to the house instead of building up on the existing house?
I have a small ranch in linden nj i will to get an estimate for and addition
Email me the plans to office@carpenterstouchnj.com Attn Jr
