    Can i place this on top of the weights stacks on my functional trainer? if so could I get the same type of information i get from my other two pieces or work out equipment (stationary road bike trainer, and Ski ERG) Cadences/reps, speed, distance length of time, rest time (watts or tension time)

    • @getcalibrex
      @getcalibrex หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Jay, great question. Yes you can place it on the top of the weight, or the side - the Calibrex 3 will know either way. As you said it will track cadence, power, calories, reps, sets, rest times and more. Best part is that it learns more about you with every rep to put together a personalized profile and help you crush your goals faster.

      Great question. Yes you can, it'll just fade down your music when the coach talks and then turn it back up 🎶🎧 you can also use the camera or any other app during your sessions. Your Calibrex 3 will track every rep without you having to use your phone at all once you've started your workout.

    Very dope but most studies around muscle and strength building still show that a fast and explosive eccentric and a slow and controlled concentric is the better than just keeping slow and controlled tempo for the eccentric and concentric

    its just small optimizations that dont matter for most people. Might hold value for professional bodybuilders, but anyone just looking to stay in shape, build strength and look decent can do just fine without.

  • @vincentvaleur3573
    @vincentvaleur3573 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Time under tension doesn't matter if you're not accounting for intensity. Also you don't seem to make a distinction between the eccentric or the concentric part of the lift. Time under tension at the bottom is significantly more hypertrophic than time under tension at the top. Within the last year there was a fairly big study suggesting that how slow you go down doesn't matter as long as you're between 1-3s. Most people can implement this without the need of some wearable tech. Your analysis of why basketball players have big delts is flawed. You can do a thousand reps of lateral flys by just flapping your arms but that won't make your delts any bigger. At a certain point you'll have to add more weight. Why is it that basketball players like Larry Bird don't have massive delts? Probably wasn't because he wasn't shooting the ball as much as players today.

    Interested but as a resident of Canada. The expense with shipping and such is a bit too much. 406$ for the all access, 28$ shipping, ~50 in taxes. For a total of ~486$. Then dealing with DHL which charges duties at the door from 50-100$. Its a tough sell and its a shame. Best of luck.

    • @getcalibrex
      @getcalibrex 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there 👋 Thanks for taking the time to drop a comment. We take this pretty seriously - Calibrex 2 is already being used in 14 countries around the world, Canada being our 2nd largest group after US. We collect taxes and duties during checkout so that the Calibrex 2 shows up straight to your door via DHL in 2-3 business days, with no hassles. There is also a more economic DHL option that's under $10 and takes about 4-5 business days depending on your location. If you have any questions or would like some help just hop onto the chat on our website and we can help :)

      No it doesn't, unless the movement is explosive it's of no use. Heavy deadlift doesn't pick up any reps. I've stopped using it, just made me frustrated. Great potential but atm too many issues

    Are you Ukrainian? I have a Garmin Epix Pro and it's really bad at counting reps, how good is this device, and can it do more than bar raises? Can it do curls and many other exercises just fine? What are some exercises it can't successfully count? Can it do pull ups? I'm thinking about getting something just to count reps for me since Garmin Epix Pro doesn't do that job very well.

    • @getcalibrex
      @getcalibrex ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there 👋 Thank you for taking the time to drop a comment. We started Calibrex because we couldn't find a traditional wearable that focuses on tracking reps (As we like to say, track reps, not steps!). The Calibrex 2 can track your curls, pull ups and more via the attachments. We're working on improving the performance on olympic lifts and other snatch like exercises at the moment.

      It's almost impossible to quantify power output without tracking your reps. We like to give athletes more context than "I did 3 sets of 10" . We strive to make tech that only pro athletes currently have access to accessible to athletes everywhere.
