Day 5 Appalachian Trail NY Last Day October 02, 2024

As I came to an end I am reminded how hard this section was and grateful for what the trail gives. I look forward to my next time on the trail. Hiking Shenandoah Appalachian Trail August 2023: Unfortunately I was new and just starting out. So I didn’t record much video but the trail was amazing and I really can’t wait to do it all again in 2027 or 2028. I met some amazing people on the trail. The memories are what will stay with me forever. Thanks for watching!

Hiking Appalachian Trail… after staying at Bear Mountain Inn for two days due to head injury. Don’t stop won’t stop keep on going. Lost one of my favorite hats on trail RIP.

Day 3 stayed at Bear Mountain Inn and explored the Zoo and its surrounding areas. Definitely recommend coming to day hike and stay it’s beautiful.

Hiking started out great but you never know what lies ahead. Unfortunately I fell hitting my head taking myself to the hospital. I only hiked 6 miles but a least I’m okay. Looking forward to heading out in 2 days. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

Buy a watch that is not Fitbit. A watch that only lasts a year and a company that doesn't stand behind its product is not good.

I've hiked the entire AT but only in sections. It is easy enough the first few days, but once you're feet start hurting, or you didn't sleep well one night, or you get really rained on a few times and can't dry your gear out, it really becomes a matter of willpower to keep going. Attempting the entire AT in one shot would be a great achievement but I'm not sure the payoff is worth the investment. A week at a time, or a 100 mile section, is just the right amount for me.
