@@artful1967 I can't decide really - Top 5 in no particular order - Ollie Banks at Bromley, Will Grigg's tight angle against York, James Berry against Alty (Southend was a good 'un too), 2 of the goals against Gateshead at home - Dobs and Jacobs

I agree the Banks banger against Bromley was great. I have just repressed most of that game because I drove home with PTSD

sometimes it is nice to have a quiet match. In a battleship you are too slow to go up and down the map and sometimes you are the busiest ship in the battle. sometimes not

I abslutely agree. Some lower tier fights are way less predictable as people don't usually have thousands of battles in a low tier ship learning how to play it.

i agree. this battle had 3 battleships and 2 cruisers in our cap at the same time so sitting in it just wasn't an option.

I have been sunk like that before and it sure does leave you with a bad feeling!

i once had been 1-shoted in just first 2 mins of the game (i was playing the new Spain line and behind the island) and that was my first time too :)))) not rage not cringe but suprised and funny.

I always remind myself it is a game. If I play badly for some reason then I try to learn from it. There is no point blaming people ( or yourself ) when things go wrong. If I wasn't having fun , or getting angry all the time, I would find a different game.

Definitely a heavy cruiser, or battleship player. Destroyers I either do crazy well, or die in less than 2 minutes. I agree with you I am a stinker at carriers, and I may have 10 battles in a sub.

I was better with the old style CV's than the new ones to be honest.If you get any battles you ever want to share please feel free. I can always see if I have time to do a commentary on them and post them if I have your permisson

Yup...light/heavy cruiser main here... Hate battleships n CVs with a passion... Dont really do well on big ships😂, mybe im just rubbish with em

It is tough to be "good" with everything mate. I keep trying to improve with my weaker ships but it can be soul destrying if they don't fit your preferred play style.

​@@artful1967true dat... I stopped any sort of BB grind after i got the Yamato...got as far as the lyon for my 2nd BB line... Now i hv almost all the tech tree cruisers in the game and only still 1 bb to play with😂😂😂

no worries. glad you keep coming back to watch the videos. It means a lot to me and justifies the hours of time spent on them. I don't always fire the correct shells. I have never claimed ( and never would ) to be a great player. I hope I am fairly good at explaining my thoughts and tactics though and that is my aim.

Yes and the ship. you can control 1 set of planes at a time ( torpedo, bombs or rockets ) and you control your ship as well. Usually people just sail their ship to a point where it is "safe" and park it although in more coordinated battle it can be sailed closer to the enemy with covering ships. closer you are to your target the less time your planes waste flying to it.

@@artful1967 how do rockets, torps and bombs vary damage wise? I'm guessing torps are best for citadels?

I stand to be corrected but my understanding is that a citadel is caused by something exploding inside that zone rather than against it. Only submarine torps can do this. ship and plane torps cannot.

@@artful1967 ah, interesting! I assumed because torps were at the water line they would be a good way of hitting most citadels

it is the difference between HE and AP. A high exlosive shell explodes on impact. An AP "arms" on contact then on a delay explodes. It is the fact it does this causes a citadel. It arms as it punches through the armor then explodes inside ( amongst the magazine hopefully). This is why an AP against weak armor or close range does very little damage as it if all the way through the ship before it explodes. Torpedos are HE

yeah. i almost expected to be killed but to do enough damage to him that the BB would win the game. Similar to the battle we played where I hurt the last ship so bad he ran away to hide and lost on time.

The shells on this ship are very loopy so at long range more chance of a fire than a citadel. Sometimes you do get locked into one or the other just because you don't want to waste the time reloading the shell type. I usually switch shells only when I know there is a clear advantage

My only issue with using the kuma as a heavy DD is that huge, easily hit citadel. If I see a kuma close up I just load AP and wait for one error. At low tier people usually don't keep you waiting long :-) That said I often do play light cruisers like a DD.

@@artful1967 I said more aggressively not suicidally. All light cruisers are made out of citadels and will get sunk easily if you get close to the enemy, they just happen to have the best dpm so do loads of damage.

it was tough for him as I had all the cards. I could stay or go but he HAD to go south at some point. I would have gone out wider and then headed towards me head on rather than still being in the turn as he came into view. It is tough as you are trying to second guess each other and the Phoenix has a much worse citadel so distance was his friend. Close up I win.

At higher tiers you usually get a bit more strategic play ( usually ) which means not everyone rushes in, dies and leaves you on your own.

They do if you can keep the guns firing at people. in some battles you hardly ever get a decent shot

The annoying thing is I could probably have avoided the hit if I had stopped my salvo earlier. I knew he couldn't sink me even with 2 tops so decided to keep firing. Lesson learned with that
