40 Jahre im Bluesgeschäft und noch immer voller Tatendrang. Eine Seltenheit! Noch dazu, wenn die Wiege der Band weder im Mississippi- noch im Donau-Delta stand, sondern mitten im Herzen Wiens. Doch was 1977 im legendären Jazzland begann, ist längst zur internationalen Marke des Blues geworden. Eine stolze Leistung. Viele Umbesetzungen hat es gegeben, in den letzten drei Dekaden, manches blieb jedoch bewährt konstant: zum einen der Gründer und Mastermind der MBB, Erik Trauner, ein bekennender Besessener des Zwölftakters. Zum zweiten die Qualität der Gruppe: die jeweils beste Besetzung der Band ist die jeweils aktuelle. Auch nicht gerade üblich, aber typisch für Trauners MBB, über welche eine der unzähligen (Chicago-)Blueslegenden, mit denen die Gruppe im Laufe der Jahrzehnte arbeitete, Tail Dragger, dereinst verlauten ließ: „You..re the blackest white boys I..ve ever seen!“.
