Genesis 2024, a significant event at Royal College of Engineering and Technology, commenced with a prayer led by Fathima M, a student of S7 CE. The event was marked by a series of insightful addresses and concluded with various awards and recognitions. The event was inaugurated with a welcome address by Dr. Devi V, the Principal of the college. Devi madam discussed the rich history of the college and emphasized the institution's commitment to providing quality education. Also highlighted the importance of the Student Induction Program, which plays a crucial role in acclimating new students to the college environment.The event featured several special addresses, beginning with Hyderali Sir, who spoke about academic excellence and the holistic development of students. He stressed the importance of not only excelling academically but also focusing on personal growth.Following this, V.P. Salim Sir delivered a thought-provoking address on the role of parenting in today’s technology-driven world, where information is readily accessible. He highlighted the importance of guiding students in navigating this complex landscape effectively.The formal inauguration of the event was conducted by Prof. Jayanarayanan, the retired Principal of Kerala Varma College. In his inaugural address, Prof. Jayanarayanan spoke about the traditional guru-shishya (teacher-student) relationship, emphasizing its relevance even in modern education. He encouraged students to foster a strong bond with their teachers to enhance their learning experience.E.R. Ramachandran, the General Manager of K-Rail Vazhuthakkad, delivered a special message to the freshers. Sir spoke about the importance of continuous updation and upgradation in their personal and professional lives. Also emphasized that each person is an energy center, and practical knowledge is crucial for success. The event also saw the distribution of the Calidad Scholarship, which supports deserving students. Laptops were distributed to S7 students, demonstrating the college's commitment to providing technological resources to enhance learning.In recognition of academic achievements, the Academic Excellence Award was presented to students who excelled in their final semester examinations. Additionally, the Teacher's Excellence Award was given to educators who have made significant contributions to the academic success of their students.The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Krishnakumar Sir, expressing gratitude to all the speakers and participants. Genesis 2024 came to a close with the national anthem, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.We, the Genesis 24 committee, thank the management and Principal for making the event a grand success.
