This channel is about travelling around Australia in a camper trailer with a tinny and rooftop tent. We endeavour to take on some difficult terrain to visit some amazing places. It has raw footage with very little editing. We hope you enjoy our channel and welcome your support and positive feedback.
WE FINALLY GOT ONE. Cairns to Townsville. THE BIG LAP EP 25
Welcome to another episode. In this weeks episode we travel from Cairns to Townsville. Along the way we stop at The Boulders, Crystal creek, Mission beach, Halifax Beach and Balgal Beach. The Boulders is a picturesque place with beautiful swimming holes, senic river walks, rapids and small water falls. but the march fly's are savage. We left there and headed to Crystal creek another beautiful swimming hole with small water falls. a great place to cool off. we nthen find a free camp on a beach where we spend several days relaxing, fishing and soaking up the sun. I finally get that legal size Barramundi and Lorraine gets a nice size Threadfin Salmon. then we head to Balgal Beach and try our luck fishing again before heading into townsville.

What a pair of clueless muppets! What's with holding up your shorts when the water is below your knees. Just get wet. Maybe pack some reef shoes for wading through creeks. Your car sounds like an old Melbourne taxi! It is a Toyota after all. Then your overloaded, top heavy trailer flips on a near level piece of road. 😅😅😅
Don't take a home modified trailer on tracks like that, it's way too top heavy for a start. If it wasn't for other people to help you'd still be there.
Hi Greg , Thanks for watching. This trailer was an off-road camper trailer that I modified. It has travelled all over Australia on many shitty roads/tracks. This is the first time it has rolled. I think it was more driver error. As for being top heavy, you are right, and we have plans to modify it again and reduce the weight. Cheers for the comment.

Put some of the weight lower in the trailer. It is too top heavy. Lower your centre of gravity.
Hi Andy, you are right it is a little top heavy. The trailer is chock o block full of tools,spare parts, a slide out kitchen and fridge, and other stuff. We have completed thousands of km in it this way. We are planning to modify it to make it lighter in the future. I think it was more driver error than the trailers fault 😆
I think you should consider not taking ALL your worldly possessions with you… Try leaving SOMETHING at home …
Lol. Where is the fun in that. The only thing missing is the 🐕. 😄. Yeah, we plan on being on the road for 18 months or more, so we took a lot of stuff with us. Now we realise we don't need all of it. It is our first time out, so we weren't sure what to take or leave. So we took everything, lol.
Glad things worked out for you guys 👍 could have been a lot worse. I noticed a lot of body roll on the trailer. Would a stiffer suspension make much of a difference? Looking at building something similar so keen to hear input. Cheers.
Hi Jack, thanks for watching. we had heavier duty springs on the trailer when I left home, but they got destroyed on the Gibb River Road. You can see that in our episode Disaster on the Gibb. It was recommended to use slightly lighter springs so as not to be so ridgid. This will allow a smoother ride on corrugated roads and not cause stress or metal fatigue to the trailer. So they say. I feel that there is too much weight up top, causing the body roll. We plan to modify this. Please check out our channel for more videos.
I think that you'll find the name is shortened to 'Tele' Track, not 'Telly'.
