I grew up 30 minutes from here. I remember in 1998 as a kid when there were vendors selling Pokemon cards and it was beyond crazy busy. Remember my parents thinking graded pokemon cards were ridiculous. 1st editions graded going for like $40. The old pac sun, hot topic, Suncoast Motion Picture Company, memories....
Well hopefully thinking about those memories brought a smile! Thank you for sharing, it’s reasons like these I enjoy doing these types of videos. Have an awesome day 🫶🏼
thank u for posting ♥︎ when I was little I used to dream I lived above the barber shop
I’m glad you enjoyed it 🫶🏼
And where exactly is this magical place of yours that you didn't even bother to mention in your video ???
If you click the full video there’s a link in the description to where you can find this place!
OMG I miss Kmart lol
The memories I have these old places🫶🏼
Yes I live in Michigan home of the first meijer
Why does my childhood mall so creepy now and I literally escaped a fire that was in that mall it TRAMITIZED me
Majority of the malls look this way unfortunately. There’s still a couple thriving in the area. I’m truly sorry you had to experience that!
Looks like a great place to live, fantastic architecture
I love Mt.Clemens! It’s a city I recommend to visit if you’re in the Metro Detroit area for sure! I’m glad you enjoyed it 🫶🏼
good to see and hear, shame it is closing. More later on this.......and indeed, interesting choice, Macy's, must be the family-clothing connection PERHAPS, but more later...........peace......and bless Michigan, heading into the FUTURE. 🎇✨💖✊and all others related, but have to run, lol. Peace. 🕊☮🥾✊🌠🌟🌌./. .➡➡➡
Boycott the Detroit zoo they support genocide
Dime una cosa vale la pena llegar a visitar este lugar
Si estás en el área de Detroit, Michigan y tienes un día libre, ¡te recomiendo que vayas a echarle un vistazo.
3:17 mall walkers, they don't shop they only walk
Yeah honestly it’s all they are used for now a days as it seems. Which is cool I guess. Atleast people are safe!
Awesome video! Keep it up
Thank you! I appreciate you and I’m glad you enjoyed it! Have an awesome day🫶🏼
man, i love watching videos about malls, it's so interesting how they're completely packed at one point then the years go by and they just get closed down or near being closed down
I’m glad you enjoy these kind of videos, more coming soon! When I think back to how they used to be on top of the world at one point in time now they’re just a shell of what was something popular.
Metal detected that town . Some super nice people there . The police are like those I grew up with they know everyone and like chatting the people .
Yes absolutely and everyone I talked to was so welcoming! Will be going back there just to spend money and support the small businesses 😊
Just another dead mall. Nothing new. All malls used to be packed but no more. I never liked malls. Just went top the major department stores and not inside much.
Are there any anchor stores left on a mall near you? I saw a JCPenny today and I was taken back for minute lol.
@@ZachUnscriptedlifeThey’re usually the last to leave, if anything
@@lapielazoolie this one’s had different ones come and go. These last few remaining I’d imagine have to be just hanging on by a thread.
Went downhill since they shut down the carousel
Lakeside is sooo eerie. Parts of Macomb too. It’s pretty sad. The only one that’s busy nearby is Somerset… I guess only rich people can afford to shop for fun in this economy?? Or maybe it’s a social thing. Who knows.
Yeah, I remember that part of Macomb county was the upcoming place. It boomed then started falling off. It’s sad to see 🥺
Somerset sucks only good thing in that mall is the Chick-fil-a. Lakeside mall was my favorite mall to go to,so sad it'll be gone july 1st.
@@TheGjergj79 it seems like Lakeside has barely had any good stores in years
@@morbidmichigan Yeah they all left for partridge creek down the road.

I still have millions a photos with me bang on the carousel yep it was fun while it lasted
Yeah my parents have photos from its hay day, sad seeing what it was and where it’s at now! Just have to remember it how it once was!
Spoiler alert: Every mall in America looks like this.
No not really, there’s one in Auburn Hills, MI. Great Lakes crossing outlets. That one’s decently busy. There’s one down the road from this mall called Partridge Creek Mall, that one is decently busy. Have a great day though!
@@ZachUnscriptedlifeBut other than those two, it seems like ALL THE MALLS in the Detroit metro-area are all pretty much dead or gone (much like most of Detroit is, I guess...) Which is sad because one of the malls _[Northland Center]_ was actually considered the first modern suburban shopping mall in the nation when it opened ALL THE WAY BACK in 1954; and was also Victor Guren's first gig or shopping center he ever designed. He (Guren) also designed Southdale Center, the first fully-enclosed regional/mega mall, in the nation that opened back in 1956; which may ALSO be the oldest currently still operating (with maybe the exception of _Cross Country Center_ in Yonkers, NY and a couple other minor ones; but that's an open-air center).
@@ZachUnscriptedlifeAlso more to add to this comment: I think Partridge Creek Mall (despite it being an open-air mall) is kinda struggling a bit as well lately. They already lost two major anchor tenants a couple years ago; but at least they're trying their best to stay afloat. I wish I could have said the same thing about this one in the video...
Nope
That’s because Detroit as a city is dead. Woodfield in Schaumburg IL is buzzing, Oakbrook Mall buzzing. Lots of Chicagoland malls still packed
Not the best beach view but I like it.
😂
