On the 25th of December, 1987, the Longhorn Grove Investigation Department issued another broadcast about the kidnapping cases. The cases were thought to be isolated events, but clearly, they were not. Two families, one consisting of 5 and the other of 3, were kidnapped in near perfect synchronicity. The families had no prior connections to the other victims. Due to these kidnappings, the mayor of Longhorn Grove decided it would be best to implement curfew.
