Every installment in this series is a special baby that I love dearly, but like most, Max and Chloe are the ones I love most so I am praying this is a successful entry that respects the history and the choices and maybe ties things together? Anyways, thanks for giving positive reasons to hope for the best with this game.

What I think is that the game is taking place after the game and the comics, so maybe Max will be staying in contact with Chloe some way

I'm honestly gonna wait and see if Chloe is in the game if not it's gonna be a pass I don't want it. I also don't want it to be like Mikey in true colers where she only shows up in a video call or texts. I'm sorry they had 10 years to think on it and they know what we wanted.

I wish I saw this video earlier! I love the way you discuss things ^-^ The trailer actually came out on my birthday XD (Well, it was 4am the next day, but I'm still counting it, because I was still awake 🤭). I saw them drop the trailer completely out of nowhere, and woke my girlfriend up and we watched it together. I had seen all the leaks beforehand, and my girlfriend and I initially HATED the game. I personally don't like the fact that Max is a teacher, it feels like she's following in Jefferson's footsteps far too much. And Safi replacing Chloe as Max's new "closest friend" and the person that Max spends her time with? We both hate it. My girlfriend doesn't want to play it unless Chloe is in there (she is the Chloe to my Max, after all XD), whereas I do want to play it, but only because I'm a really big fan of Hannah Telle, and Max is a very important character to me, and has been for 8 years. But Max and Chloe's dynamic is equally as important to me. I am very intrigued by the story, though. While I don't have much faith in the soundtrack (I didn't enjoy most of TC's soundtrack, only a few songs, but I adore the main menu theme), I'm still HOPING that they get it right. I really dislike her hair (the part is far too exaggerated and distracting 😭) but I do really love her outfits, they feel very much like a matured version of her style. Also, I completely agree with the genius of the title! As a photography lover (and I also just love multiple exposures as a whole XD), the name makes me SO happy! The title was originally going to be Aperture, and I didn't feel like it fit with the concept as much. But Double Exposure is PERFECT!! I'm so glad they changed it XD I'm hoping that Chloe will be in it!

Just saw the snippet of gameplay from the livestream and omigod. I'm so much more excited for this game now (Hannah Telle's voice is music to my ears, and I already love Safi so much. Max is Max, and still just as adorkable as ever. I love that they paid attention to how Max would develop over the years, and while she's more mature now, she's still quintessentially Max Caulfield. Do you think you'll do a reaction to the snippet of gameplay? (Also, omigod there's one thought she says late in the snippet that punched me right in the chest. I won't spoil it ;))

We might also get out first love interest that's not white! Betting 5 bucks rn that Max has a thing for Safi.

Bearing in mind that some of what I type here may be mooted within a few hours by the upcoming LiS:DE live event here-a-goes: 1) GREAT video - thanks Ship Wrecks!! (1st-timer here). 2) No one need worry about either choice being canonized as they both already are. The only ending that *isn't* canon is Pricefield being blown off the cliff by gale-force winds. 3) As someone who only ever goes Bae ('cept for a junk playthrough where I also saved Alyssa from NUTHIN') I *hope* this new game plays in the Bay canon, to give balance with the excellent comic books that played in the Bae canon - none of that fine work should be undone. Both endings are equally legit and I'll personally give $1,000* to each subscriber here if Deck Nine ever declares otherwise. [*$1,000 not guaranteed] 4) Regarding Chloe's involvement in this new story I'd be willing to bet $1,000 (see above asterisk) that before this past february was out Ashly Burch had laid down at least 20 minutes worth of dialogue for this project. I know this to be true because typing it burns my fingers like fire. 5) I'm SO over the moon that our favorite neuroscientist-songwriter-singer is back as our girl Max! When you go through Max's texts with Max's mom, her first listed texts are about her 18th birthday, on September 21. Given that the events of LiS1 are set in 2013, as shown in Max's first 4 diary entries, that means Max's birthday is September 21, 1995. Also- "double exposure" is a photography term involving superimposing two or more images. It's possible that timelines will overlap in some way. (Maybe something like what happens in Apple TV+'s Calls or Marvel's Multiverse of Madness will occur.)

Re: Max's age: based on an info sheet from the Japanese version of the Life is Strange site, I think she's 28, which would put the game set in the winter of 2023/24

I was hoping for some third timeline shenanigans (where max and chloe never reconnected, santa monica, maxine) but the tweet by d9 saying "you tell me" to is chloe alive or dead has killed my hopes. Seems to mean theyre sticking with the lis1 story, but going forward in a boring way

you know i always thought sacrifice clohe was the right ending because she was supposed to die i don't think max could live with them killing most of a whole town its bad for her psyche also i wonder if the setting is too simillar like were in another school i like the winter setting i hope we see her parents in this game possibly one of my biggest complaints i felt more about clohe than max sorry

An annoying trait ive seen with how the sims 4 handles trans and non-binary sims. Is the wordige of boyfriend/girlfriend husband/wife. Mom/Dad. As those terms pull from the sex of the sim. So that needs to be changed/make options for too. As i feel those terms are often off for those sims.

This sims 4 definitely tries, though I find it misses the mark just a bit. I'm very happy that there's a mod called "LGBTQIA+ / Gender & Orientation Overhaul Mod". I would consider it an ABSOLUTE need if you're LGBTQIA+ and want to get the most from The Sims 4!

lmao, it's "very gender" when sims are able to be exclusively attracted to one sex, but transphobic when real life women do the same??

Also with pronouns... They are currently only available in English. I understand that it is a huge thing to modify for every different language and that is absolutely fair but it is worth mentioning.

14:28 You are kinda giving the clothing options too much credit . . . you can put any clothing on masculine or feminine frames but many of them have visual glitches on the opposite frame

Great video! Love seeing fellow trans people talking about videogames :D One more caveat about the pronouns: It is a feature that is only available in the English version of the game, sadly. I have been waiting for more than a year to get customizable pronouns as an option in Norwegian (which, honestly, is even easier with pronouns than English is, grammar-wise), and they're just not... they're just never getting around to it. It'll be two years soon. They still haven't done it. And I don't really want to bend to their slowness by switching my game to English. Everyone deserves custom pronouns as an option, not just people with english games. The Sims is huge, it could have contributed so much to normalizing this stuff locally, and yet... nothing :( Voice - completely agree. They actually used to be gender-limited, but with the first big gender update they made each voice available for everyone. However, they're all very... cis-passing. And I like none of them for my simself. Wardrobe - I would personally detract a point for the way sims with flat chests will basically be given boobs (or an illusion of them) when wearing tops that were originally made for the feminine frame. This is especially bad with older clothes, where the boob shadow is especially visible. I'm agender, my style leans masc, but I'd also be open to more feminine styles if my chest was flat. So the boobs being added onto this stuff kinda defeats that point for me? But yeah!! Sorry for the long ramble, I just had some thoughts :D You earned another subscriber, keep it up!!

you can change the gender seting after creating your sims. There are two options on the mirrors one of tham you can change staff like clothes or hair and on the ather everythink else like body type

You can totally edit pre-existing sims! You just need to use a cheat to do so. Hit ctrl+shift+c and type in cas.fulleditmode and from there, you can edit anything you want about an existing sim :)

Actually, you can pretty easily go back and change everything about a sim (sex, gender, body, voice, pronouns, EVERYTHING) by using cheats. All you need to do is open the cheats bar in-game (there are different ways to do this on different computers, you can google how to do it on yours really easily) and typing in "cas.fulleditmode on" and press enter. Then, once you reenter create a sim, it will be the exact same as when you were first making the sim.
