COMING BACK FROM AN ACHILLES INJURY (FULL RECOVERY JOURNEY) With Workouts And Motivation
มุมมอง 12Kปีที่แล้ว
In late April 2022 I tore my achilles in a professional basketball game and had to have surgery. In 8.5 months I did rehab and therapy to get my strength and quickness back. Finally in January 2023 all of the hard work paid off and I returned unrestricted back to professional basketball. This video is to help inspire and motivate those who are struggling with an injury and anything in life that...

I have a grade three rupture and am at four weeks, my foot is very purple still during the day until I lift and rest it, start rehab next week, still on crutches and this is by far worse than a broke bone, I went the non surgical route!
@@OnGrade1 non-surgery route has worked better for others. I’m just always an advocate of having surgery for major tears.
so inspiring! 😀

Beautifully made and edited! Glad your back and beat that horrible injury. Im only 5 days in, and man this is the most saddening and grueling time...as you feel worthless and even small tasks seem impossible...how were you able to keep your spirits up man? Thanks again

Reggie, how much of a gap did you have with your tendon rupture? I just had surgery on mine and I had a 2 cm gap. I’m trying to stay positive about returning to athletics. Thanks for your video.
Mine actually never fully separated, clean tear without separating, may have saved me a month. Thank you for watching !
Bro, I tore a tendon a few days ago and now I'm on my way to surgery (tomorrow) I'm not a pro athlete, but good at playing at the amateur level Your video is so inspirational, I hope I will be back strong soon💪🏾

Great job Champ, i'm at day 58 after surgery and putting the work in. Your coming back has been impressive and i'll be inspired to go on and on and never give up. All the best Sir, thanks a lot for the detailed journey
Not sure if you remember this but- When were you able to do Single leg calf raises with your left leg?
I would say somewhere around month 3-4. Not exactly sure but after the boot was off!.
❤
I broke my tendon on March 12th, during a championship basketball game, I'm 31 years old and I've been playing since I was 4, I'm not a professional but I play at a very good level, I feel like I'll never be able to recover my old-fashioned athletic form, explosiveness, sprint, reflexes, etc. It's a bad injury, I had surgery on March 29th and I'll wear a cast until May 3rd then a brace for I don't know how long. To this day I no longer see an end guys.
I would advise to find an alternative option to be in a boot rather than a cast for that long. I’m sure your situation is different but I think the sooner you can get that tendon mobile the easier the rest of the path will be.
I was operated on at the best orthopedic hospital in Italy, every athlete is operated on there, Rizzoli Hospital, fortunately I am from the city, so I would have had the surgery there anyway. I was given the walker or cast option, pre-op, but then the surgeon chose the cast and then I will probably wear the brace after the cast.
The people in the world and Germans lived exactly like that with no care in the world while their neighbor jews were being murdered starved by Hitler like today's Palestinians genocide Netanyahu as Hitler
Stolen food, stolen land such a humbling video.
This is, absolutely despicable. Jaffa is a city that has existed before Israel, Jaffa is a city that has seen the expulsion of many of it's inhabitants. You are in an ancient city, the only ancient city in Israel, that looks the same now as it did in the 1910s in the Ottoman empire. A city inhabited by Palestinians ever since the Roman era, calling it "Israel's" old city. Despicable.
Even the food they stole it 😂
how u gonna pray for peace in the middle east whilst completely disregarding the struggles and oppression of the indigenous population aka the palestinans ? claiming that palestinian food is israeli food is extremely offensive and ignorant
*Palestine*
Old city named israel 😂 if you went to israel decades before, you would have been used as a slave
It's a good thing he doesn't try to see how life is for Palestinians in Israel. God forbid he actually see the real face of Israel. Keep the ignorance flowing and don't be critical of how they treat Palestinians. Don't step outside your lane, ever and enjoy the fruits of distraction.
👌🏻 he is paid am sure 😂 to represent israelis in a good way
