Woodmizer LX25 & 4044m, Tractor + Sawmill = FUN (Part 1)
มุมมอง 227วันที่ผ่านมา
It's February and the ground is almost too wet to use the sawmill. Thankfully I processed 2 yards of mulch with the woodchipper just the day before and have enough to spread around the front of the mill. Still, I'm looking to avoid making deep mud tracks, so I am limited to picking from log pile #1. In this video, I use the John Deere 4044m with grapple to pick a log off the pile and saw a cant...

I'm bringing the Power King 5 inch 14HP out back to shred some large piles of mulch that have been sitting around for too long. I use my favorite, efficient setup to send the chips into a large strong, but light weight bag on my trailer for easy transport. Deer pay me a visit. #woodchipper #woodshredder #woodchips #mulching #powerking

It would be faster to use a lopper to cut the small limbs off the branches.

nice edit. Thanks for posting...I'm about to buy a used one of these chippers and good to see one actually mulching some decent sized limbs. subscribed.

It's a great machine for the smaller limbs! Inspect it regularly, because my belt cover split at the bottom. Also, my entry chute started splitting around the hinges. I got it welded for a $100.

Thanks for posting the vid, I was thinking about maybe getting a snowblower for mine, but after watching this, totally not worth the price

No problem. It is expensive, and I will be making another video on that plus some additional thoughts. Thanks for checking out the video!

Have you had any issues with the logs taking a bad spill and landing on top of the motor? I just bought mine, and I’ve thought building a little table to cover my motor just in case. Awesome video!!

I’ve had a few close calls. I think it would be wise to extend the back tray to cover the engine which also gives more room for working while splitting, or build a protective table as you mention. Also, make sure to check that your hydraulic connections are tight before splitting. One of mine was not and leaked in the garage. Thanks for watching and for the comment!

You need a trailer for the Ranger so you can use it to the full potential. Good video.

Awesome machine, maybe some wd40 or Pam in the chute will help with the clogging.
