So I couldnt get the timing down for yang but I found a other ways: Phase 1 all i did was run around and bait him to start walking so he only does the knee and punch. Dodge down for both and like in the video he will jump back. Then he will either do the same combo or a low slide kick. One way i was able to tell, is yang will stand still for like half a second. That means he will do the knee punch again. If he doesnt stand still/upright after jumping back for that half second he will do the low kick slide and you dodge up. Then punish with heavy, then raining strikes, back off and then repeat. If he repeats the knee combo and jumps back and you dodge it 3 times, the 4th repeat after he jumps back is a guaranteed slide kick. If at anypoint you get hit or block instead of dodging. Just try to back away and run until he starts walking again. meaning he will highly likely use the knee punch. It is possible he does the kick to start but in my experience it rarely ever happens phase 2 stay near the edge of the arena continually backing up walking and or running away with the wall on your side. Yang will likely try the spinning jump kick off the wall if he is also close to the wall. Just dodge down and do the heavy and raining strikes. Back away and keep your distance to try to get him to do the move. phase 2 was actually easier than phase 1. take your time and dont rush it. Bait him into what you want

It just doesn't feel natural. It is frustrating when you have the map cleared but from one moment to the other you are just completely surrounded. That happend to me Yesterday. I had a bad match where I saw a patrol spawn in front of me after turning back around. And then another one in front of me as I was trying to run away.

I noticed Jin fengs low is the only one that swings left to right from character pov. The rest are high attacks that come from other directions.

Kuroki and Jinfeng are easily the worst bosses in the game.

Im guessing the devs didn't think on how easy it is to abuse the bosses.

I found a cheese for Yang by using the invert throw skill by hitting him and then dodging into him, follow that up with a heavy attack, i don't know why but he can't block the follow up heavy so after you hit him with the heavy attack use invert throw again and then heavy and repeat, he can sometimes dodge the heavy attack, if he does so attack him again, he will block the attack but you can still do the invert throw skill. This also works in phase 2.

Hey there's an absolute safe strategy for master Yang Phase one when he's far away, he will always do the snap kick, do the back elbow, eat his snap kick with hyper armor, cancel his following combo, and combo him back, then keep distance again. keep repeat, timing is a bit tricky but after few try it will work. Phase two is even easier, when you keep distance from Yang and stay beside the wall, Yang will do a wall jump kick 100% of the time, avoid the kick and combo him, keep distance and repeat. Turn out Yang Phase two is actually the easiest between all fight due to his AI is very abusable.
