Bought this same bike. Added a dropper post, Fox 34 fork with WTB front wheel (boost of course), 35mm handlebars and stem, and now it handles the trails with so much more confidence. It's an awesome bike for the price, the frame handles amazing.

Yes, it is chestmount. I use the stuntman chestmount with a swivel and mount my hero 8 black upside down. I found it had a better angle. Thanks buddy!!
just bought a 2022 today same color is you woulda preferred red but all theu had in stock got an XL too happy as hell way to expensive + Tax but im happy i dont have the doubke paddle like you tho

Thanks for looking out buddy!! I'm not sure if it's the sound of my chain hitting the chain stay, or the front brake cable I noticed was rattling off my frame. Hopefully that will fix the rattle!! Thanks for the view!!

Wow, that was impressive. You are a brave man speeding on that trail covered in snow. It definitely looked dangerous especially at the edge. You don't want to slip into the valley. You did well. Keep riding and stay safe.
I just finished servicing and rebuild my xc bike and I'm looking for trails to ride. I'm in Ancaster and I heard there are some great trails in the area I just need to find them. I'm new to mountain biking but I used to ride road bike so I'm hoping to get into it and have some fun. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Yes, this is the 27.5" wheel size on medium frame.
Stock tires?
Yes these are the stock tires. They are the 27.5" Maxxis Ardent Race.
Is that a 2x8 drive train? Because in some countries it comes by 1x9 for talon 2

It is the chain rubbing against the front derailleur. I did a little tune up and problem solved!! Thanks for watching!

Great video, do you think that i should get this bike, specilized rockhoper sport, or the trek marlin 6. all 2021 models. i am a begginer and looking to get on to some trails.
Thanks for watching!! I would suggest going with this bike for sure. The frame has slightly better geometry for decending as well as xc trail riding. The forks are slightly better on the talon and marlin as you have the option to lock out suspension where needed. The Talon is the only one of the 3 that come with tubeless rim and tire setup if you chose to go that route for better performance. The hydraulic disc brakes are all from tektro with basically the same specs. Overall I would suggest the Talon!!

What would you say is better giant talon 2 or marlin 5
I would personally say the talon 2 is better than the marlin 5. The talon 2 comes with better forks, better derailleurs, and some other overall higher end parts. The marlin 5 is more comparable to the Talon 3. Hope this helps!? Thank you for watching and commenting!

@@mtbxc5241 got the bike last Saturday and I was anxious to try it so I brought my helmet and rode it home...it was a cold windy day in Truro on Saturday and all up hill lol....but it was great, very solid feeling ride, my son took it for a spin tonight and loves it!! Very happy with the purchase
Is the left lever a dropper post lever or a shifter?
The left lever is a shifter. This bike comes with a 2x8 drive terrain system here in Canada. A dropper post can still be installed with the cables ran internally through the bike.
Talon 2 2020 is much beter than this 😐
Yes you are correct, the 2020 model does have better grade forks and drive terrain! However, the 2021 is a bit cheaper and still a great entry level mountain bike if you cannot get the 2020 model!!
